Matthew inwardly groaned…. He hated Halloween… Well hate was a strong word…
He didn't totally hate the holiday… it's just that his brother; Alfred, always made him do something that he didn't like. This year it was going to be 'a surprise.' As Alfred called it. This annoyed Matthew even more. Why couldn't he just sit at home and answer the doorbell for the little kids that wanted candy?! Noo he had to be dragged around by his brother… so much fun. Last year Alfred decided to do a 'bride and groom' theme. Matthew had promised right there and then that he would NEVER EVER, do that again
But here Matthew was again, a year later. Getting ready for the big SURPRISE~ Ohhh he was so excited…
Knock, knock.
And there was the man of the hour now…. Going as slow as possible Matthew walked over to the door and opened it.
"Someone sure likes takin' their sweet ol' time!" Alfred said grinning.
"What do you want to torture me with THIS year?" Matthew asked bluntly, Alfred put on a hurt face.
"Why Matthew I'm hurt!"
"Good." Alfred ignored that and grinned.
"You should be happy where not dressing up this year!"
Silence.
"Alfred… What did Arthur tell you about drugs?"
"Only do them after you've hung out with Francis for the day?"
"…Close enough. So where NOT dressing up this year?" Matthew was almost smiling, almost. 'Cause he knew his brother still had something up his sleeves, and the Canadian wouldn't rest till he knew what it was.
"Yup! Now come on! Where going to be late!" With that Alfred grabbed His brothers hand. With His free hand matthew closed his door and was continued being dragged by his brother. Alfred shoved him in the passenger seat of his care and then got himself in the drivers seat and sped away towards god only know wheres…
"No way, I'm not going in there…" Matthew stared wide eyed at the scene before him. Alfred had dragged to a haunted corn field maze. He was already scared, but wouldn't show it.
"Aw come pleassee!" Alfred gave his brother cute puppy dog eyes, finally Mathew sighed and let his brother drag him into the corn maze. They hadn't gotten far when already matthew was getting a little jumpy. He never even realized he was holding onto Alfred's hand. Alfred ignored it however.
Suddenly out of nowhere one of the staff members jumped out of the bushes, scaring Matthew.
"Ahh!" He gripped tightly onto Alfred, who turned beat red, but put his hand around Matthew's waist.
"It's okay Mattie, I'm right here." Alfred cooed he watched the staff member walk away.
"Promise? You wont leave me..?" Matthew asked quietly looking up at his brother his eyes seemed so innocent to Alfred.
"I promise Mattie, I wont ever leave your side…"
