The day started out just like any other, Weiss woke up, ate breakfast, brushed her teeth, got dressed, and went to class. Halfway there Weiss came across Nora who was eating something that seemed very familiar. Well it turns out that the night before the RWBY gang decided to order takeout for dinner, specifically chinese. Weiss ordered just plain white rice because that's what she had always gotten since she was young. When the food was delivered to their apartment however Weiss noticed the grotesque mole on the employee's face and that had instantly ruined her appetite. So while Ruby, Yang. and Blake dug in yelling about random nonsense the day before Weiss stuck her rice in the refrigerator to save for later. Of course when she came back a few hours later the rice was gone. Weiss spent the rest of her day interrogating her friends all of whom made fun of her for making a big deal out of it.

Nora noticed Weiss eyeballing her rice which she had "acquired" from a legit source the day before. "You want some?" Nora asked while extending her arm out to Weiss. "I don't want some I want it all!" said Weiss as she grabbed it from Nora's hand. When Nora decided to try and take the rice back Weiss took off down the hallway. When Weiss thought she had made some distance she stopped to take a breather but when she looked back down the hallway Nora was racing towards her with inhuman speed. Weiss kicked it into second gear and started running faster than when she took her P.E. tests. She wouldn't give up her rice for anyone or anything. Nora chased Weiss through the cafeteria, in and out of the garden, across the main entrance, and pretty much everywhere else until they got to the top of the tallest building.

"Give me back the rice Weiss!", Nora shouted, "I earned it fair and square!" Nora was slowly advancing toward Weiss forcing her to back up. "No you didn't, you stole it from me and you know it!" Weiss was on the edge of the building now and one look down told her it wouldn't end well if she fell. Just as she had thought that however Nora violently reached for the rice and when Weiss reacted by pulling away she took the last step. Time seemed to slow as she fell faster and faster until she started getting flashbacks. Her first time eating rice when she was only four years old happened when her father came home from his worst day at work. They enjoyed eating it together. Back when she was bullied in middle school and had no other comfort but her lightly salted rice. Even when she first met Ruby and the others the first place they went out to eat was a chinese restaurant. It had all come back to her, all the good times and the bad times she had shared with her beloved rice. Right then, right there she decided she wasn't going to let it end like this.

Weiss took out her weapon and pointed it toward the ground. She fired off a single shot trying to slow her decent down but it wasn't enough. She fired two more shots, three more, four more, she kept firing as fast as she could until she noticed she was getting close to the ground. When she was sure she had slowed down enough she pulled the rice close to her chest preparing for impact. She hit the glass roof on the top of a building shattering it and going straight through. Weiss luckily landed in a chair and when she decided that she was okay she opened her eyes. To her surprise she was in the middle of a classroom and everyone's eyes were fixed on her including the teacher who simply said "You're late."

Later that night after Weiss had written a three page apology for shattering the glass ceiling she finished her rice and threw the empty container away. Despite today being one of the most embarrassing days of her life it made Weiss realize just how important rice had been in her life. So after getting her pajamas on and comfy in her bed she decided that tomorrow she was going to order takeout again.
