"I was thinking about putting some silver spikes on it, but I'm not sure if I want to do that or have black chains. Oh! Maybe-" Uta suddenly stopped talking about his new mask design and looked around frantically. Of course, you weren't anywhere to be seen. You were walking back to Uta's shop with him after getting ice cream at the new ice cream place that had just opened the day before, and now you were gone.
Uta knew he shouldn't be surprised, not even in the slightest seeing as you tend to get lost easily. But the crowd was full of people of all shapes and sizes, making it harder for you to be spotted. Uta looked in different directions through his dark sunglasses that hid his usual burning red eyes, and didn't see anyone who even remotely looked like you.
"[Name]!" He called out desperately over the chattering crowd. Although it was most likely you got lost by your own bad luck, he couldn't help feeling the small growing fear that you somehow got caught by Doves. With tension growing in this area from all the ghoul killings caused by a binge eater, ghouls like you had to be even more careful nowadays.
After a few minutes of looking for you, the dreadful feeling that you got caught started to swell. Uta was pushing through the crowd, calling your name. He felt the forming forehead wrinkle fade and his breathless words that had called your name over and over again cease when his eyes landed on you looking at a tank filled with various types of fish behind the glass window of a pet store.
"[Name], there you are," he said, grabbing you into a bone-crushing hug just before grabbing your face and planting a hot, fiery, passion-filled kiss on your lips. You pulled away breathless.
"Don't do that to me again, especially with all the Doves lurking around," he said, his face filled with worry and seriousness. You blinked and nodded slowly, surprised at his reaction. You happened to get lost and distracted a lot, not on purpose, it just happened.
"I got lost then saw a parrotfish and wanted one," you explained shyly, the feeling of his seriousness and worry filled the air around you as you looked at the colorful beaked fish.
Uta closed his eyes for a moment and then let out a small chuckle, "Come on, we'll get you a parrotfish."
