Ok. So I know I promised that I would start posting the re-writes of the chapters a few weeks ago, but work, and school, and training for the Navy is really time consuming, more so than I thought it would be. So here it is; the first chapter. Not a lot of changes were made to this one, just a few words here and there. Hope everyone is well. Oh, and reviews are always appreciated!!!! And last but not least, I don't own any of the characters from Degrassi…unfortunately.
I had it all. I had the money, the looks, and the friends, there wasn't much more that a guy could ask for. Well, except maybe the love of his father, but I knew not to
hold my breath on that one. But you see there is so much more to the story than just the hate my father felt for me. I have a secret. A secret I had never planned on
telling anyone. But one day, that secret was leaked back to my father. You see my father, curse the son of a bitch, is the Governor of New York. From the moment I was
able to comprehend things he let me know exactly what I was; a mistake. He said I was the mistake that caused him to marry a woman he didn't love, not that I believe
he is capable of loving anyone but himself anyways. But somehow we came to a truce. He agreed to give me anything I wanted so long as I agreed to play the perfect
son, you know, play good for the media, which included showing up to all governor related functions, and being the best at everything I did. I was even forced to go out
for a sport, he had been irate when I chose soccer and not football, but hey, he had never specified a specific sport. My mother on the other hand is a different story.
She is a lawyer and owns her own firm. She is like my best friend. She has always loved me. I could always tell her anything. Well all except for the one thing.
Ok, for most guys in that list of belongings, the word 'girl' should have been listed. Does anyone find it odd that it wasn't included? My father didn't just find it odd,
he found it disgusting, revolting, and wrong. My mother found it strange and unusual, but she didn't disown me like my father. You see, I do have the money, the looks,
and the friends, but instead of the girls, I have the guys. My name is Marco Del Rossi. I'm gay. After my father found out he disowned me and told me to get out, that he
never wanted to see me again, and that I was not allowed to make contact with anyone from New York. Like I would want to anyways! So after that my mother filed for
divorce and we got on the first plane out I decided to start writing in a journal, this journal to be exact. Right now we are on the plane, heading to Canada where I will
be attending Degrassi HS. I assume my father came up with some excuse as to why my mother and I suddenly disappeared, but who really cares, it's not like I ever have
to see him again!
So goodbye for now, I will defiantly be writing more later.
