It was a bright beautiful morning as the sunlight crept into Fluttershys hotel room and across her face. She slowly opened her eyes then closed them again. 'To bright.' She thought to herself.
When she tried to sit up she heard the loud clinking of beads. 'What, where did all these come from?' She began rubbing her temples. 'And why do I have a splitting head ache?'
When she lied back down she noticed that there was somepony under the sheets next to her. She didn't want to know who it was and tried to sneak away. With all the movement next to them the other pony couldn't help but wake up.
They sat up and when the sheets fell off of them Fluttershy was both happy and confused to see her friend Twilight Sparkle. "Twilight what are you doing in my bed?" She asked, adding that to the ever growing list of questions.
The groggy purple alicorn looked around confused until she saw Fluttershy. Twilight got a large drunk smile across her face before jumping on Fluttershy, locking her in an iron grip. "Good morning Flutters sweetie, was last night as good for you as it was for me?"
She reeked of alcohol and refused to let go; nuzzling and kissing Fluttershy, who just wanted to know what was going on. That's when the door opened and the rest of her friends came in. "well look who's finally up." Rarity said as she came in. "Oh hi girls, how's it going?" Twilight slurred.
She tried to get out of bed to greet her friends but tripped over her own hooves. As she lay on the ground laughing Applejack went to help her up. "I see she's still drunk." "Um girls, would somepony mind telling me what happened last night?" "You mean you don't remember?" Pinkie pie asked. Fluttershy shook her head.
"You and Twilight drank Berry punch under the table, it was so awesome." Rainbow dash yelled caused Fluttershy to grab her head. "Sorry Fluttershy, that hangover must be killing you." "It's alright."
Fluttershy began taking off her beads; which cause everypony to giggle. "What's so funny?" Rarity managed to stop giggling long enough to tell her, "Darling, we're laughing because of what you did to get those."
"Yeah," Pinkie interjected. "You and Twilight flashed your plots and made out with each other so that everypony would throw you beads." "Oh, Calestia." Fluttershy covered her face. "Don't be so down, you seemed to be enjoying yourself, almost as much as you were enjoying Twilight." Rarity added.
"Yeah, we had to fight to keep you two from going at it in the streets." Applejack piped up. "Oh, Calestia." "And when the two of you disappeared we kind of had a feeling were you went." Pinkie added in.
"But I thought I ordered non-alcoholic cider." "There's no such thing at mardi gras." Twilight said sounding a little less drunk. "She's right about that." Rainbow dash said as the girls all laughed. "I can't believe I made a fool of myself, I'm never drinking again."
Pinkie pie popped up next to her and said, "If you're not going to tonight's parade then I guess you won't be giving Berry punch that rematch you promised her." Fluttershy got a saddened look on her face at the thought of disappointing somepony.
"Well if I made a promise then it would be rude not to keep it." "Of course, just try to keep your tongue in your own mouth this time." Applejack laughed as they all went to grab some breakfast before the morning parade started.
