My Best Friend...

His voice echoed in my ears like a whisper. First PF, then Crow. If she weren't a ghost already I'd probably lose Sai too. "C'mon Seto, don't stop now! We're so close!" Sai would always say this when I stopped walking. I wasn't sore or weak, well my neck hurt from looking down for so long, but my legs were fine. It's just that they would suddenly refuse to move. I guess it's because, since Crow died in my arms like PF did, both memories were weighing on me.

When we got outside I stopped again. I looked toward the sun ahead of me, but it wasn't as pretty as before. I fell to my knees as tears threatened to escape my eyes. Sai floated near me and said "don't cry. We still have to get to the silver-haired girl you wanna save." I took a deep, shaking breath and said "I never knew how how much I... wanted to see the sun with him"

"How dare you bring in an intruder, Sai!" I hear a voice say. I wasn't really paying attention though because sparks from the machine caught my eye. It came from this jelly looking thing. Looking at it gave me an idea. Heeding Sai's advice I attacked the jelly, but I only weakened it. When I had the upper hand I climbed the arm of the machine and ran for the jelly.

I took out an empty energy drink bottle that I had rinsed out to use as a water canteen and scooped some jelly into it. I closed the bottle and finished off the machine. I watched from the pathway as it fell, and once I was sure it was dead I ran back. Sai kept asking me what I was doing, but I didn't answer. I don't know why I ignored her. I guess I was just too focused.

I entered the room Crow had died in and kneeled in front of him. I searched everywhere for where his battery could be. When I finally found it I removed it, and in its place I put the electricity emitting jelly. I stepped back and waited.

I jumped slightly when his eyes suddenly shot open. He looked around, then asked "where's my shirt? ACK! WHERE ARE MY PANTS?!" I must have surprised him because he stopped yelling when I hugged him. I had buried my head into his chest and held him so tightly that my arms trembled. Crow placed a hand on my back as he said "hey, it's alright now. Stop crying now. That's enough." Sai chuckled and said "huh. He turned back on." I leaned away from Crow to look him in the eyes as I replied "no..."

"He came back to life"
