Staring out of the window, her thoughts engulfed her

Staring out of the window, her thoughts engulfed her. Usually of others. The girl was always thinking about others. She pretended to be apathetic- an unfeeling, callous drone- but reality had proved otherwise. Saving lives, saving souls, breathing life into others. Protecting the weak. Those opposite of her.

But now, on this night, she thought of no one. The rain encompassed her mood, her body, her mind, her soul, her heart. She gave into it, putting herself in a vulnerable position, sitting on the ledge of the window in a dimly lit room. No one could break her mold. She chose this life. Her body was built, her mind was conformed. But breaking free of the shackles, the thing she chose, and was allowed to choose, was her life. This girl with long dark hair and deep eyes, with a sense of youth, but also wisdom. A strong name, a strong appearance, and a strong nature built her up. A sense of love and understanding softened her down. She smiled, realizing what she had. The things she left behind.
