The ever constant crunching sound of shoed feet over gravel filled the air, but currently the owner of said feet mind lay else where. Focused solely on the current issue he-as well as the rest of his team-currently faced, or rather on the newest and certainly strongest enemy they have been forced to face.

Each step luring him closer to the sounds of splashing and laughing that currently fell upon deaf ears; as well as, blind eyes that seemed not to notice that the ever present darkness has been replaced by the dull glow of a near-by lantern. Not until he had nearly passed the tree, where the lantern hung, did the silhouette of a person and their pet within the water appeared in the corner of the set of chestnut colored eyes.

Glimpsing around the slender tree, the brunette felt his cheeks burn slightly at the sight of the bathing man before him. The dim light of the lantern, causing a golden color to glisten across the back of the other as he allowed the pup to return to the shore-shaking off its drenched fur-as he finished bathing.

Cole remained frozen in place at the sight, silently cursing the lack of better lighting as the unknown presence came closer to his hiding spot. Startling both men as barking broke the silence that had claimed the surrounding air, the bathing man heading for dry land where his belongings laid as the other stumbled to escape.

"Shit," the red ranger breathed as he felt a weight collide with him from behind, landing on his stomach-none too gracefully-before being turned over onto his back. "Tell me why you were spying on me," the man ordered, pressing his body further against the leader of the wild force rangers' leader and bringing his blade dangerously closer to Cole's exposed throat.

Silently, the lion ranger thanked whoever above decided that the moon's rays would not appear tonight-which he had cursed just moments ago-concealing the ever darkening blush adorning his cheeks as his mind focus fell upon the fact that a very wet and nude man was pressed flush to his own, clothed body.

"I-I wasnt spying."

"Oh, no? Then what could you call watching me bath while hiding?"

"Why would I watch you? Not that there's something wrong with you! Just that I didnt expect annoying to actually be bathing in the lake. Though th-" Silence filled the air once more as the brunette's rambling stop abruptly with a well place finger.

"You talk too much, you know that?" Cole could practically hear the smirk in the voice of the man, who currently pinned him down. Feeling the restriction over his lips pull away, the wild force leader was about to contradict him before the single digit was replaced by a set of soft lips.

Eyes wide in shock of the fact that this stranger had not only kissed him, but also taken his first kiss in doing so, Cole's entire body tensed at the strange sensation that filled his body. Unable to place the feeling that took hold of him, the brunette never notice the departure of those lips or the fact that an enigmatic look had settled across the other's face.

"Return to your friends red ranger," and the other man had left him with a million questions reeling through his distraught mind. Alone and answerless, Cole slowly pushed himself off the grown, heading back to the Animarium and hoping for the chance at a second encounter.

Unaware that that chance might come over a week later.

(AN): Finally I put up something on my fanfiction account and in doing so, put up my first Power Rangers fiction.

This idea has been stuck in my head for well over a month and I finally got around to writing it. Not over all pleased with the end result, but I don't really care at the moment. Just glad I finally gotten something off my to do list.
