(You all know the drill so insert Dis right now. Love ya's)
She stood at the edge of the cliff, thoughts about him and how he told her exactly what he thought of her and of him. Things started heating up and she left. She stood up and left with out a word.
'Why' she thought, 'Why did I leave?'
She stood and stared at the ocean far below her and how the waves moved continuously, much like her emotions. It was then she realized why she had left.
'He was drunk, beyond drunk even. But he told the truth, of that I am certain. Or maybe I was…scared?' the thought hung in the air, taunting her.
'I could have stayed. He won't remember this in the morning' and with that she headed back up the path that lead to the hotel they were staying at while the Maru got fixed.
He was awake and just getting out of the shower when she returned. She sat on the edge of the bed; he sat on the edge of the table.
"Why did you leave?" he asked.
"I was never here." Came her slow reply.
"Right." He didn't believe her. "Why are you here now?"
"Because I was worried about you?" the statement came out more of a question then a reply.
An uneasy silence settled between them for quite a while, until he got up to change in the bathroom. She had just decided to leave and was heading towards the door when he came out; she paused just as she was opening the door.
"I remember everything." He stated matter-of-factly.
"Everything?" she asked quietly, shutting the door.
Again there was an awkward silence as they stood at the door. He grabbed her hand lightly and pulled her towards the bed, glad that she didn't fight him. When they sat he cupped her chin gently and made her look at him.
"Everything. I may have insanely drunk but everything I said and did was true. So, tell me, why did you leave?"
She looked ashamed as she gazed in his eyes, tears gathering in her own. "I left because you were drunk and because…I got scared."
He didn't look surprised; "Do you feel the same?"
"I do…" she said blushing
A long moment passed that for once that morning was not uncomfortable.
"You're a good kisser…" He said, laughing.
"Oh yeah? Wanna see how good?" she asked, eyes flashing.
"What do…" he never got a chance to finish as she leaned over and kissed him. (Fade to Black)
