NightMare

Laying there under the sheets,

your sweet face contorted with

fear. Sitting there with no way

to help you, brings pain to my

beating heart. Ever so lightly I

move your hair from your pale

face.

These nightmare's come to you

every night, never ceasing. If

there's anything I can can do, please

give me a sign! When you wake

all I can do is give you meaningless

comfort. Sitting up, wide-eyed with

terror, you lean against me. Embracing

you, to comfort you, violent shivers

rack your slender frame.

Looking up with hazy eyes you say

to me:

"Don't go! Don't ever leave me!"

Puzzled I say to you:

"why would I leave?"

Repling to my question with an answer

unexspected, as shivers run through your body

again. Why does this nightmare

scare you so, dear prince?
