A blaze surrounded the small body,
Panic spread all over.
Pain engulfed every nerve.
The boy took a gasp of air; selfish as if it would be the last.
All too quickly did the sensation leave.
Shouting out, drenched in sweat.
A young child awoke from a dream,
His blonde hair covered in the fret of the illusion, sticking to his forehead.
His dark brown eyes wide with apprehension.
The sound of a door, sliding open disturbed his thoughts,
And turning did he come face to face with an older man,
Who wore a long scar on his face.
Sighing slightly, did the man speak,
"Aki, what happened?"
Little emotion, but laced with much concern.
Quietly did the boy breathe in before looking away.
Grasping the sheets spewed around his little body,
He opened his mouth.
"I saw an explosion. No, I was in it."
The other man's eyes widened,
A small tremble coming forth from his back.
His mouth hung open and seemed he'd ask a question but he was left mute.
Moments passed and before anything could happen the child laid back down.
"I'm sorry Katze."
Dumbfounded, he finally found his footing.
Stepping forward until cementers away from the child.
He placed his hands on the boy's body.
Recovering and securing the child in bed.
He placed his fingertips on the cheeks of the child.
"No worries, Aki. No worries."
And then turned away.
Outside the door, shaking with no care.
Katze ran a hand through his hair.
Panic and fear.
How could he know his sire's demise?
Since watching and reading the story over the last few years, I have always wished to try to contribute to this series. This is my first work of Ai no Kusabi.
Reviews would be very appreciated as it will help me improve on this story.
Warning, a figure that a majority of the chapters will be a short as this. But i'll try to put much of what is needed in every chapter.
i must also say, i have the rating as Teen but I may consider moving it to Mature in the future if the story goes the way i am thinking at the moment. But I have never written smut before so we'll see what happens there!
