Strong arms grabbed Draco's as he was forced into a kneeling position. A couple of boys grabbed Hermione and held her just far enough away from Draco. He barely heard someone whispering an incantation and slowly Draco began to feel his power slipping away from him. But losing his magic was nothing compared to what he was seeing in front of him. He was forced to watch as they forced Hermione to the ground, pinned her arms to the ground and slammed a knife into her stomach. She attempted to lurch forward and cover her stomach but the knees pinning her arms down prevented her from doing so. The two holding her down pulled out knifes and dug them into her wrists, piercing the veins and making her loose blood rapidly.

"No!" Draco shouted. "No, please stop!" It was against a Malfoy's beliefs to beg, but.. this was Hermione. His ancestors would just have to forgive him, or well he didn't care what they did. This was Hermione in front of him, slowly slipping away. "Please, just let her go. I'll give you anything, money, power, protection of a Wizard, just let her go." Hermione stared at the ceiling of the basement they had been dragged in to.

"Forget it Wizard. We're doing this, because your girlfriend thinks she can be in both worlds. We've heard about Hermione Granger, and we know this is her. She's a mortal born right? Got magic from somewhere, well she doesn't belong in our world so we're taking her out of it." Draco shook his head.

"Please, if you're going to kill anyone, kill me! I'm the pure-blooded Wizard! I'm more Wizard than her." Draco didn't care that he was breaking his composure as tears ran down his cheeks. All he cared about was that Hermione- There was so much blood. Draco knew that even though she was still steadily breathing, that he was going to lose her. "Please.. Just.. kill me." He felt a hand connect with his face as his head flew to the side. His cheek was stinging and he knew that someone had backhanded him but he didn't see them. Hermione turned her head so she could look at him. Her mouth moved slowly, forming his name silently. "Hermione.." Draco whispered as her eyes shut closed. Everything seemed to collapse around him as he felt himself being dropped. The muggles left them alone and Draco crawled over to Hermione. He brushed the hair out of her face as tears fell from his eyes onto her beautiful face.

"Hermione.." He whispered, his voice pleading her to open her eyes. She didn't even move. He bit his lip before bending down to gently kiss her forehead. As his lips connected with her flesh all of the memories they had together rushed through his head. How could he had ever thought Hermione was disgusting? How could he have ever thought that he was better than her? That she didn't deserve him?

He remembered the party they had fallen in love at. Hermione entered, looking beautiful and Draco couldn't believe that it was her. He had abandoned his date and quickly asked her to dance with him and it sparked a relationship. Draco bent his head down so that he was near her ear.

"I love you." He whispered the words he'd been aching to say ever since he saw her walk down those stairs and into his life. His only regret was that he didn't have a chance to say them sooner, or to hear them spoken by her angelic voice. He pulled her to him and cradled her in his arms as he sobbed into her hair. "I love you. I love you. I love you." He repeated those three words until it hurt to speak and even then he pushed himself harder. Maybe a part of him was hoping that someone would hear him and bring her back to him. Though he knew it was in vain. Things didn't work that way. Maybe he just needed her to know that he loved her.
