The sun streamed into the Hokage's office and warmed the wood of the desk. Sarutobi Hiruzen sat in his chair reading over and organizing the papers that were currently overflowing his desk. The older man sighed with distaste and glared at the work he still had to do.

He was saved from his growing anger at inanimate objects when a knock came to the door.

"Enter." Sarutobi watched as Shikaku sauntered in, hands in pockets.

"Hokage-sama, the elders, and the inner circle have called a meeting in regards to the kidnapping of the clan heirs. They require your presence."
Sarutobi nodded his head and dismissed the Jounin.

"Hokage." Shikaku stated with respect. The Nara bowed before turning around and leaving the room.

When the door closed behind the jounin commander, Sarutobi sent his chakra into the privacy seals in his office activating them.

He looked off into the far corner, cloaked in shadow.

"Well? Are you coming? Or shall I bring you a report?" Sarutobi questioned mildly.

"I'll find my own way there." A small voice answered back.

"It is a council meeting, my boy. I wouldn't push your luck by trying to break in... again. Someone is bound to notice. They are trained ninja." The older man stated indignantly.

"Well, they haven't so far." The young voice responded, with a hint of a smirk in his voice.

"All right, all right. But tread carefully. And you must tell me how you are getting in. It is technically a security breach." The man stood up slowly and then made his way to the door.

The elder man turned back around, bowing in the direction of the shadowed corner.

"Hokage", Sarutobi said with respect. Then he turned and left the room.
