If fairytales had been true
Summary: AU The story of what could have been if Christine hadn't died. Takes place two years after series ended.

Takaya strummed his guitar, and he was content on just letting the music take form. He had no particular piece or song in mind when he started to play, but little by little a new melody was beginning to be created. Slowly, he started to fix out the rough parts in the melody and began adding things that he thought sounded good. The end result was something he thought was already a good song, and would become an even better song when he gives it lyrics.
His fingers stop strumming then, and he hears applause, which prompt him to open his eyes to see a beautiful woman with long blonde hair wearing a pure white dress. Standing next to her is a blue-ish kitten that goes over to him, and he reaches his hand out to put her in his lap before he begins to pet it which causes it to purr happily. "That was a wonderful song, Takaya." The woman says and he turns to face her and gives her a small smile. "Thanks, Chrissie. I'm glad that both you and Ingrid liked it."
The woman then walks closer to where he is and sits down next to him on the park bench. "Oh yes, a letter came in the mail today." She tells him as she produces a letter from the small bag she had with her and shows it to him. "Huh, so your sister is inviting us to her birthday party." He says as he looks at the text and the corner of his mouth twitches upwards. "Correction, she's inviting you to her birthday party and letting me tag along so you won't feel bad about leaving me." He says with a laugh.
"I'm sure that Ania is just joking. It's been two years after all, and Tomoharu and the others have already forgiven…" She starts, but he only laughs harder. "Oh, I'm sure she's already forgiven me for that. But what she doesn't forgive me for is for taking her most beloved older sister away from her again; and officially this time." He says with a wink as he looks down at the golden ring on her left ring finger with a blue diamond on it.
She blushes at his words as she also looks down at her wedding ring. "Well, I guess I wouldn't really mind going to her party with you, if that's what you want." He says as her entire face seems to light up. "Ania is really a kind child though, and I'm sure that she just needs to warm up to you a bit, Takaya." She says as she leans her head down to his chest and he sighs. "If you say so Chrissie, but this time I'm taking Ingrid with me everywhere I go, in case she tries to bite me again like last year's Christmas party!"
Christina is no longer a demon and Takaya eventually regains his feelings of love for her. Ingrid is also now a kitten because of the aftermath of the last battle with Tokiya. From her form as a panther she became a kitten because she returned to normal, just like Ania and Vivian.
