Today is the day, Thought Tatum. It was about fifteen minutes untill the reaping and it was her last year where her name would be in that big , round glass bowl that Steavy Greenhill would pick one girl and one boy between the ages of12 and 18 from. Tatum was from district two , which was nicknamed The Nut by thecapitol. The nut along with districts 1 and 4, were the only districts that were not at war with the capitol so they recieved "special treatment" by the capitol, and had career tributes who won almost every tributes train at a special acadamy until they are eighteen, at that point they are lethal and ready to volunteer for anyone else in their district. Tatum's choice of weapons wasnt very specific, but she prefered something sharp. Tatum was a career along with one girl and two other boys, named: Ava Smith,Oliver Compane and Seth Habinth. She glanced up at the clock which said 14:00, " Yes it's finally here!" she practically squealled. Her and her mother made their way to the town square where the reapings were held. Tatum's mother, Sarah, went to where the parents stood and waited for the reaping to begin. Tatum was guided by peacekeepers to the check in line where a chubby man with barely any hair pricked her finger for some blood "ouch!" Tatum said as she flinched "Oh grow up!" said the man. Tatum walked over to where the other eighteen year olds stood and waited. about ten agonizing miunutes passed when finally Steavy grenhill came out and said, " welcome, to the seventy third anuall Hunger Games. now as usual the capitol has asked me show you all this wonderfull video of how the hunger games came to be." behind the screen came alive with light and on came the movie. " now i think we will do the girls first ." he said as he made his way up to the stage to the big round bowl, dipped his hand in and read out"our female tribute this year will be, Danielle Geogeton!" tatum imidiatly yelled "I volunteer!". " okay come on up then dear, now the boys umm, Oliver compane" No! it can't be him he's my friend! tatum wanted to shout but it was too late her and oliver were already on the stage. " ladies and gentlemen i give you the tributes of district 2! happy hunger games and may the odds be ever in your favour."
