Imperfectly Perfect
The moon illuminated brightly outside. It smiled so beautifully at the creatures below. How I envy the moon, because it's perfect, and just so captivating… something I wasn't. And though I was perfect in a human's sight, I can never be the perfect being for the person lying beside me.
Jacob Black slept peacefully next to my naked body; we had just shared a moment of passion, something Bella and I can never share because of her humanity. Don't get me wrong, I love Bella. I just love Jake more. But can I still consider my feelings for Bella as 'love' when I was able to find Jake?
I had never expected our relationship to last long; we were just two lonely creatures in search of love; two broken halves without its partner. We needed each other. This wasn't just for pleasure.
But all of these are wrong. This love of ours is forbidden; if Carlisle, Bella, or anyone else knew, they would never accept this.
I love him, I really do.
I stared at his beautiful face, the way his dark hair blended with his tan complexion, his soft pair of lips I loved to kiss, down to his strong set of jaws. This imperfectly perfect creature doesn't deserve me, because I can never fulfill him like a woman does. I was not born a woman. I was supposed to be attracted to them. I was supposed to love Bella. But fate… it's just plain miracle.
And most importantly, he doesn't deserve a man with so many flaws.
I traced his face with my fingers beginning from his temples, to his nose, until it reached to his chin. Then I kissed every inch of his face. His breathing didn't change, he was still asleep.
I looked at him again. A sad smile formed on my lips knowing the fact that this will be over as soon as the sun returns. If only I could stop this moment of time. If only we can stay like this forever, and stop this pretending.
The moon was suddenly disappearing and the sun counted my last seconds with my beloved.
I kissed his lips one last time, "I love you, Jacob. Goodbye for now…"
He stirred, but didn't wake. I wore my clothes, and walked towards the window.
The world must never know our love.
