Rin quickly tore the red box and took out the metallic package. She clenched her fingers around the wrapping, wrenching it open. She took out the thin stick and stuck it in her mouth, her tastebuds savoring the sweet, chocolate biscuit.
She pulled another out and handed one to her twin brother.
Through her slightly muffled mouth, she asked, "Ne Len, do ya wanna pocky?"
Len took the pocky and looked at it appraisingly.
Rin licked the chocolate and then gently grazed the the smooth covering with her teeth.
She looked back to Len, who was now staring at her, his biscuit forgotten.

She stopped short.
Her breath hitched as she realized how suddenly Len was centimeters away from her face. Their proximity made her flush a pinkish-red, and she shyly looked away to the side, then back again to meet his eyes.
Len smiled a tiny grin as he leaned closer.
Rin rapidly shut her eyes as her senses began to take control. Her body filled up with a burning sensation, her head was suddenly dizzy, and there was a pleasant tingling in her ears.

RIn opened her eyes to see a clearly cheerful Len chewing on half a piece of pocky, with an uneaten one in his left hand. Cross eyed, she looked down at the pocky in her mouth, a clearly a piece snapped in half.
She raised her eyes again and met Len's steady gaze. Her eyes were fixated on his blue orbs. Her face burned again, and she felt her cheeks heat up. The air thickened with the tension, and everything else in the room seemed to fade out.
Smirking, Len finally spoke.
