Kurt rested his forehead against the steering wheel, reeling at what had just happened. Had Blaine really just done that? He felt hurt, used even. This was Kurt Hummel, the biggest romantic this side of Ohio, maybe even more than Rachel Berry. Why would Blaine even think, under the influence of alcohol, that he would want to do it in the back seat?

If Kurt was being honest with himself, he knew that most of his upset feelings were directed at how easily Blaine connected with Sebastian. Kurt felt insecure; why did Sebastian even have to show up, or even exist? To completely ruin a night that he had been thinking about for the past two months. This was not how he had wanted things to go.

Was only one beer all that it took to make him this way? Opening his eyes, Kurt watched as Blaine jerked to one side, almost falling over as he continued to walk across the street. Biting his lip, Kurt pondered for a moment. Should he go after him, convince him to get in the car? At the risk that Blaine may try again?

Shaking his head to rid of that thought, he gripped the steering wheel, and put the key into the ignition, hearing the engine roar to life. He wasn't going to let Blaine into the car again that night.

But watching Blaine continue to clumsily walk down the sidewalk, Kurt warred with himself. He couldn't leave him here, close to a gay bar and drunk. Who knows could be walking down those streets? It made him anxious just thinking about it.

His mind was made up; he was going to follow Blaine home. He could see him swaggering every which way, worrying Kurt even more. He put the car into drive and began to slowly edge behind Blaine, watching him.

He may be upset with Blaine now, but he wasn't going to let him get hurt. If not because he wanted to be a good boyfriend, but because he was Blaine's best friend. He'd never want him to be in danger.

So Kurt followed behind Blaine into the night until Blaine was in front of his house, just staring at the front door. Kurt shut off the engine, watching as Blaine banged on the door in confusion, eventually slumping down on the ground. Sighing, Kurt got out of the car to where Blaine lay and saw that Blaine had already fallen asleep, slowly breathing.

Digging into Blaine's pocket, he pulled out the house key, opening the door and looked over to Blaine. After a little effort, he was able to prop him up, and pull him into a fireman's carry and put him down on the couch.

Looking down at Blaine sleeping, Kurt still felt the butterfly feeling, even though he was upset at him. There was just something about watching him so peaceful…

And that's when Kurt knew he'd get over this fight in their relationship. Because even when he was upset or angry at Blaine, he could still remember why he loved him.

And that's all that mattered.
