Prologue: The Curse Of The Demon Bat.

The doctor was talking to the hunter about his son's condition. For the moment everything was going well.

The doctor had a grim look on his face.

"It's not looking good. The blade that was used to put a hole in his heart was stained with the blood of a demon bat. Someone who owns that blade must have slain a demon bat. The good news is that we can heal and fix the hole in his heart. The grim news is that the bacteria and DNA of the demon bat has already started spreading through his entire body. If he can't ride it out and learn to cope with the pain, he will ultimately die. I have Exorcists who are trying right now to suppress the demon bat DNA. I hope everything goes well."

Tuomas Kain looked worried.

His son had just come back after 20 years. Lionel Kain, that was his real last name, was everything to him. His whole world.

He couldn't afford to lose him. Not again.

They talked some more.

Lionel screamed against the restraints. The exorcisms hurt terribly. But it was no use.

Exorcist 1 was thrown back onto the ground.

"You'll never restrain me." This voice was not his. He was possessed! "This boy's body shall be mine." It echoed demonically.

"Be gone demon!" Exorcist 2 said and began chanting the holy bible.

Lionel screamed as the demon bat screamed. He laughed demonically. "Fools! You may succeed in getting rid of me, but this boy's heart has already been tainted with my DNA and my evil. He shall never be free of the curse of the Demon Bat. Forever he shall walk alone, forced to cope and live with what he has become. He shall forever be a monster. Ah ha ha ha!"

Then all was still. The demon was gone, but the curse had been cast. "There's only one way to do this. We seal his demon magic away." Exorcist 3 said. He chanted something and a black collar with a silver demon bat wings amulet with a red gemstone appeared around Lionel's neck, sealing his new demonic form and powers inside.

"It is done. His new form and powers have been sealed away. We are safe, but the boy is still a danger."

The doctor walked back out. "Boss, sir, your son will be just fine. The demon bat's blood that was possessing him has been exterminated. The hole in his heart by that blade has also been fixed. He's going to make a full recovery."

That couldn't have been the most joyous news he ever heard.

"My son is going to be fine."

"But, sir, I must warn you, although the exorcists were able to successfully destroy the demon bat, the boy had a curse placed upon him. He must never take off or allow that demon bat charm on his collar to be removed at all. Doing so will cause his true form to be awakened. The form that was given to him by that accursed demon bat. As long as it's not removed, he'll stay as he is now. Under no circumstances is he to know what he has become. As he is right now, he probably won't be able to handle the truth. He is also part werewolf. So the true form of a vampire/bat/werewolf is a pretty scary sight to see. It's also very rare."
