Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha or any of it's characters. I own Milia.

The federal era air was blowing through my long air and dog ears. I heard Papa coming from the forest behind me. I held the Shikon Jewel that my Mama, Papa, Uncle Miroku and Aunt Sango worked so hard to reclaim. Then Mama had me before they battled Naraku, which Mama was injured in.

I saw her get weaker and weaker as the years go by. Then three years ago, when I was five, Mama exited this world, to the other one of the dead, and she told me to take care of the Jewel.

I made two wishes. One for my Mama to come back, and another one for the Shikon Jewel to disappear forever.

"So what's on your mind, Milia?" Papa asked.

"Mama." I responded.

He hugged me as I went into another crying fit. "I should be over this." I whimpered in Papa's chest. He was holding me.

"Mi, I am not over it either." He said in a soothing voice, calling me by my nickname that Mama gave me, and stroking my back.

I was on my mat in my corner of my hut. The moon was new, so Papa was human. But I wasn't, and I saw a light figure outside our hut. So I jumped up and walked out of the hut.

It was a ghostly figure, but I knew that figure anywhere. It was Mama.

"Kagome?" I asked using Mama's name, to be careful.

"That was my name while I was alive." Then she smiled.

"Mama?" I asked.

She nodded.

I walked next to the tree that her figure was leaning against.

"I missed you." I whispered.

"I missed you and your Papa." She said.

Then we went for a walk, but we were silent the entire time. Just her presence is well enough for me.

"Milia?" Mama started when we returned to the hut. "I'll come and visit every night if you want."

I nodded. "Can Papa come along sometimes."

Mama nodded.

She tried to kiss my head, but I understand the notion and the love behind it. Then she looked at me with one eye closed, the 'Shh' motion with her finger and lips, and had a smile on her face. "Don't tell this to anyone. Your Papa will figure out."

I nodded. "I love you."

"I love you to Mi."

Then I returned to the hut to sleep for the rest of the night.
