Bossun x Himeko oneshot (Goodbye 2012! stress reliever)
Fanfiction by the-warner-syndrome| Characters and anime owned by Kenta Shinohara

"Come back here you damn monkey!"

"Yabas!"

"The power of the occult is greater than your scientific nonsense!"

"The occult is trying to hard to get evidences that don't exist, unlike science, which you claim to be nonsensical. Now get out of here, it's starting to stink of occult."

"So you lost your wallet somewhere and you can't find it right? Well here! I found it!"

"Mistaken angel…"

Switch looked at the duo that stood, panting and sweating, as the door opened with a thunderous slam. His eyes followed his club leader's back as Bossun walked towards their couch and taking up the entire space by lying on it. His eyes now shifted to the only female in the room, Hime, who was making tea and singing a tune that is unfamiliar to his ears. She asks them if they'd like to have some as well, but was answered with a groan and a slightly inaudible "Eh". She shrugs and places her mug on the table before asking Bossun to give her space to sit on.

"So how did you do Himeko?" Switch asked—or rather typed through his synthesizer program—noticing the small stiffness of her shoulders and the way she looked at her tea.

The young girl sighed before interjecting, "Tiring! I had to chase that damn monkey everywhere and he kept making faces at me. It was really humiliating," she said, looking at her two friends, "and guess where I caught him…"

"Girls' changing room." Bossun answered. She nodded and puffed in irritation. Surely she could've made better use of her time rather than spending hours just to chase the perverted mammal. In fact, she could've just waited in the changing room and let nature take its course and bring the monkey to her. Talk about missed opportunities, she thought to herself.

"Out of all the monkeys in the world, Yabasawa-san really had to get the perverted one, huh?" She wondered aloud. The trio silently agreed with each other by all nodding in unison.

After a few seconds of comforting silence and the sound of the Switch's fingers furiously typing on the keyboard, he turned his attention to Bossun. "You?"

Bossun groaned. "Dante was seriously hard to understand! He kept saying names about some anime and it turned out he lost his wallet that had a picture of his favorite anime. I searched everywhere for it! I even got scolded at by Tsubaki!" He groaned and rubbed his temples, earning a concerned look from Himeko. "And guess where we found it?"

"In his bag?"

"Yeah!" He exclaimed. "It was there all along and he didn't even bother to look into his bag." They all did the same gesture as before; nodding and giving an understanding look to the poor boy.

"What about you Switch? " The two said in unison.

Expressionless, he started typing as his laptop spoke for him, "I had another argument with Reiko. A few seconds before you guys came, I shooed her off through the window." The two looked at him with an awkward expression. They were already used to their meaningless fights, yet it was still weird to listen to their conversations. But who cared, really?

Switch stood up, bringing his school bag and laptop along with him, before looking at the two.

"Well, I have to go. I reek of occult and I need to shower before I go to Momoka's concert later."

His two friends smiled at that. It was cute, really, how even though none of the two had mentioned anything about the other, it was still pretty obvious that they visited each other for more than just "meeting up" and "hanging out as friends". It was going to take some time before Switch to say, of course, and Momoka knew that it shouldn't be her to tell it to his best friends—even if they were her close friends as well.

Surely one day they'd tell the two that they were already a couple, and Hime and Bossun would act as if they had never known or noticed it before.

Ignoring his friends' wide grins, Switch walked out of the club room and raised his hand in a small wave. "Bye."

It had already been a few minutes before Switch left, and neither of the two had said a word to each other. That was, until rain had starting pouring, and the faint conversations of the students in the hallway grew silent as the school bells rang.

Bossun stood up and walked to his tatami, grabbing his bag and his Poppman cap. It was something that he would never forget or leave; this item meant an awful lot to him, just like how the person who gave it to him does. He remembers that day, when he first met her. It's something that he'll never forget, something that led the both of them right to were they were now. The thought made his chest feel warm, and the unfamiliar feeling made him smile a little.

He was now standing in front of Himeko, he realized, unconscious that he had begun walking in the first place. She looked up at him, puzzled.

"I have to go." He announces, answering the girl's question. She nods and offers him a smile. It's the kind of smile that made his heart melt and his mind shut down. It was one of her rarest smiles; one she reserved only for him. "Bye, Bossun."

Really? Just that? He thought to himself before clearing his throat, bringing himself down to kiss her.

He had left his eyes open to watch the shock that was evident in her eyes before she had closed them and returned the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down until they were both lying on the couch, him on top of her.

Seconds later they separated, albeit reluctantly, both blushing and breathing heavily. They were touching now, forehead to forehead, fingers intertwined, and the romantic and normal gesture made the Hime chuckle. Seconds later and Bossun was joining her as well, both smiling like two idiotic lovebirds that had no care in the world.

"Bye then." She said as the sounds of their laughter faded, leaning forward and giving him a peck on the cheek. He grins.

"Bye." He replies, walking out of the clubroom.

A few minutes after Hime finishes her tea, she transfers her unfinished drink into an empty container and cleaning the mug. She takes the bag that was placed on the top shelf of the closet and took out her umbrella before turning off the lights and leaving the room as well.

As she reached the exit door of the building, she notices Bossun standing a few feet away, looking like he was deep in thought. She ran up to him, catching him by surprise,

"Bossun? You still here?"

He gives her a dazed look before snapping into consciousness and giving her that stupid smile of his whenever he looked embarrassed. "I forgot my umbrella…"

"Idiot." The girl laughed at the face he was making. "Here," she unclips the black folded umbrella that hung onto her bag and pressed the switch, the umbrella flapping open. "Let's share." She noticed the boy's rosy cheeks.

"Are you sure? I mean... It's really small and you might catch a cold and...Ouch!" he covered his forehead with his hand, positive that it's gonna have a mark sooner or later. "What was that for?!"

"Because I wanted to, idiot." She said plainly. "I won't get sick that easily. Don't worry."

"B-but..."

"Don't worry Bossun. After all," her cheeks turned red. "I'm your girlfriend, aren't I?" she muttered.

Bossun took a while to calm himself from the excitement that rushed through him as she announced who she was. His Girlfriend. My Girlfriend. It never gets old.

He sighed, trying to hide the obvious joy that struck him. "I guess I have no choice then... Since you're the one insisting here, sweetheart." He jokes, taking the umbrella from her and placing his free hand around her waist, pulling her until he was sure there was no space between them.

"Forward!" he says, dragging her out of the covered entrance door.

Hime looked at him, the smile gone from her face. "Firstly..."

Bossun turned to her.

"Don't call me 'sweetheart'. And secondly..."

Bossun gulped.

"Don't touch me so freely, pervert!" she yells, raising her first. He closes his eyes and waits for her strike, for the nosebleed he's going to have to take care of as he walks home in the rain. But nothing happens, and he doesn't know if he should be scared or grateful.

He opens his eyes. Sees the soft smile on her face.

"I'm kidding," she says softly, bringing him down for another kiss.

Hime Onizuka, he decided, really was an unexpected type of person.

And that's one of the reasons why he loved her.

A/n: (updated 04/23/2014)

That's all, I suppose. If any of my old readers found something different, it's just that I decided to fix a few things and add some scenes so it suits my newfound taste and writing style :)

This fic was written as a salute to the year 2012 as it has officially passed. Now it's the year 2014 and my writing has improved by a lot. Hopefully I'll get to show my talents in the near future, especially since I'm remaking Second Chances, my AU fic, pretty soon.

Sickness of the Heart, one of my BossuHime oneshots, can be counted as a continuation as well, even if they are written in two different time frames and settings. Second Chances, the chaptered fic I'm remaking, could possibly be the main story while these two are just some follow up stories. But, I assure you, these one shots can be read separately. (Though I am kinda promoting SC in advanced. Please do support me.)

I hope to see you guys soon! Missed all of my old friends in this fandom, truly. Leave a review! Each review is very much appreciated!
