The Man
There was a man
In his last hours
Started to pray
For his future followers
A man came to him
And gave him a kiss
Soon he was arrested
The man was Judas
The man was taken
And tried
There was no conviction
But they flogged his hide
Beaten and bloody
He carried a cross
Up to Golgotha
To bring forgiveness to the lost
The cross was laid down
And the man upon the rails
They took a hammer and three nails
Drove the nails in his hands
And feet
They lifted the tree
To an upright peak
He cried to his father
But he turned his back
The man asked "why?"
And dropped his neck
They took him down
And placed him behind the rock
And three days later
The stone was moved and people were in shock
The man died
And it was for you
And I hope you will
Choose him too
