~ Skul ~

Ghastly Bespoke was sat in his shop, silently working at one of his sewing machines. He was embroidering a dress which a female mage had brought him, and he was doing his best to make it look good. He couldn't really figure out why the woman had brought him her dress to re-stitch of all people. He specialised in making protective suits and clothing, not regular work such as trimming and decorating. The voice had sounded vaguely familiar, but he couldn't place it. He felt like he had known her, but he didn't know anyone that wore dresses. Valkyrie couldn't stand them, and Tanith only wore them on special occasions, so it couldn't be either of those two.
Hang on, Tanith?
Ghastly stopped his stitching and thought. Now that he had thought about it, the voice had sounded vaguely like hers. But what would she want to wear a dress for? It wasn't a special occasion, was it?
Suddenly, he had a thought. What if it was a date? He growled with annoyance and stood up quickly. The stool he had been sat on crashed backwards, clattering to the floor. He stormed towards his phone, punching in Tanith's number and hammering down on the call button. Silently he raised it to his ear, listening to the familiar sounds of the phone ringing. A few seconds later Tanith picked up the phone, her loud voice accompanied by the sounds of speeding traffic and the wind whistling past. She's on her motorbike, Ghastly thought. I shouldn't have called her. She might crash or something!
"Hey, Ghastly!" Tanith shouted down the phone, causing Ghastly's ears to vibrate. He slowly moved the phone away from his ear, keeping it at a reasonable distance before replying.
"What are you doing tonight?" Ghastly asked, getting straight to the point. He heard Tanith pause, clicking her tongue a few times before responding.
"Nothing, why? Is something wrong? It's not Val or Skul, is it?"
"No, it's nothing like that," Ghastly told her quickly. "It's just that, well, someone came in earlier and asked me to embroider a dress and I thought she kinda sounded a little like you, so I didn't know if you'd be..."
Ghastly cursed and clamped a hand over his mouth. He had already said too much.
"I'd be what?" Tanith sounded interested.
"Well, if it was you, I wondered if you wanted the dress for a date or something like that," Ghastly muttered slowly. He said it far too quietly, intending for Tanith not to be able to hear, but funnily enough she managed to hear every word he said. She made an 'awwww' sound down the phone, laughing quietly a few seconds later.
"No, I'm not on a date or anything like that. Your girl is still yours, for now."
And then she hung up, leaving Ghastly staring at the phone with a massive grin on his face.
She called herself my girl, he thought happily, setting back to work on the dress with a wide grin plastered on his face.
MY girl.
