"You should just give him up as a lost cause," the serious looking blond grumbled to his companion. "He's never going to change, no matter what you try."

The second blond looked supremely calm. "You should have more faith in him!" he exclaimed cheerfully. "Look, he's already made some progress – he's actually chasing after the butterfly instead of it being the other way around! You just need to be more patient with him."

Sweden sighed, looking at the final member of the Scandinavian trio. Denmark was, as usual, looking terrified over the fact that he was in the middle of nature. But Norway was right – at least he wasn't running away from the butterfly this time. He was actually chasing it, which, for Denmark, was astounding progress.

"Perhaps," he hummed noncommittally, "But ask yourself how long that will last for, why don't you?"

Norway didn't answer. Instead, he continued to smile dopily at the sight of Demark and the butterfly.

Sweden sighed once again. There was no talking sense to the other man when he was lost in dreams of Denmark and nature – or, indeed, when that sight was right in front of him. But he wasn't as besotted by the drunk blond the way his neighbour was. He gave Denmark no more than ten minutes before –

And, if course, it was at that exact moment that a second butterfly decided to flutter down on Denmark's nose.

"NORWAYYYYYYYY!"

He really should have stayed with Åland. Finland might have been crazy, and Sister Finland just plain disturbing with her obsession for him, but it would still have been infinitely better than watching the two morons in front of him.

Sweden shook his head and started to trek back to civilization and sanity. Norway and Denmark would figure it out – sooner or later.

So...this is my first SatW fic, and I hope I've got the characterisations right. Please don't forget to drop a review on your way out - I'd love to know what you guys thought about it :)
