Bernard woke up early the next morning, smiling as he watched Kent breath in and out peacefully as he slept. The man leaned over and kissed the blue man's lips. "Hey Kent, wake up." He softly shook the alien awake.
Kent groaned softly, blinking his eyes open. "Hmm? What's wrong?"
Bernard smiled. "I have to go. I'll call you later, if you want."
Kent smiled, sitting up. "I'd like that." He leaned forwards and kissed Bernard's lips. "I'll be awaiting your call."
Bernard smiled and got off of the bed. He dressed and left, walking out of the apartment.
Kent spent the next few days thinking about Bernard and him, where they would go from here. He wanted to be with Bernard, but he was leaving for New York. Michigan wasn't that far from New York, but aside from Minion, Kent didn't have anyone in the city. Minion had his own job now, and Kent didn't. Sure, he had an apartment, but he didn't feel like he belonged in Metro anymore.
So, he decided to leave. He spoke with Bernard, who said he could live with him and his mother in their penthouse. He packed up his clothes and memerobilia that he wanted to keep and made plans to leave with Bernard to New York. He said goodbye to Minion, but said that they would be keeping in touch.
New York wasn't that different from Metro, so maybe that's why Kent loved it. Within a few days he and Penny were fast friends, and she approved of his relationship with Bernard whole heartedly. Kent got to spend a lot of time with Penny, who enjoyed his company when Bernard was working and found Minion's company enjoyable whenever the fish came to visit.
After a few years, Penny passed away. A year afterwards, Bernard and Kent married. They adopted a few kids- Sherman and Alex. They lived a long and happy life together.
