We're Not In Kansas Anymore!
Where was I? Everything was very fuzzy but I was quickly coming to understand that the comforts of my home were very far away. Taking in my surroundings, I could see that somehow I have transported back in time…maybe a new world. REALLY new world…looking around that the blacksmith (and is he forging swords?) and the leather maker (I'm going to think twice about that new purse), I can see I am truly out of my element. I am a modern city girl where the concept of hunting means looking for the 75% off red tag and getting speaker food (drive to the speaker, speak, get food). Some serious re-adjustment was going to have to take place and it was most likely going to me doing the re-adjusting.
It did appear that I had some nifty skills and tools…a magic spear that let loose with a million volts of energy that took care of just about anyone that got in way. Not a bad option when one is traveling in parts unknown. I did feel bad about those cows though…they didn't have a chance and I was not quite in control of the power I unleashed.
Upon seeking more information, I learned that, like Dorothy, I needed to find and speak to the resident Wizard to find out what was going on. Finding the Wizard's Tower was quite the challenge, especially when the terrain was unknown. I really could have used my Google Maps app. No such luck. By hook and by crook, I found the location of the Tower to be south of Lumbridge Castle on an island. A pretty nice piece of real estate but not well marked. I wandered quite a bit before even finding the directions. I accidently wandered beyond the borders of the village and met up with the undead. They killed me but were gracious enough to realize I was a newbie and sent me on my way with directions. Good guys.
Walking into the tower, I realized the importance of my magic spear. There was a battle going on the likes of which made Harry Potter's battles look like a dodge ball game. Tornado-like winds whipping wizards around like rag dolls. My power spear protected me and did away with a few of the tornados. Luckily, I finally made it to the third floor of the tower to have the conversation with the wizard. He was less than helpful. I am not good with riddles!
