A/N: This is sort of a companion piece to Moments, but totally works as a standalone, so don't worry if you haven't read that. Dedicated to all the fans of People Round Here and specifically stephwritesstuff who are all patiently awaiting chapter 5 and are sweethearts and yeah. Oh and when I say football I mean American soccer.

Roger James Turner absolutely hated boys from the second he started kindergarten. They were loud and sticky and they always tried to chase him around. They tried to steal his sandwiches and ruin his fingerpaintings.

In second grade, boys somehow got louder, more annoying, and even stickier. All they ever wanted to do was play football and jump on people. Roger just wanted to draw pictures and eat cookies.

By seventh grade, boys had become completely intolerable. They were rowdy and sweat and smelled terrible. Somehow they were still sticky, too.

By the time ninth grade rolled around, boys were cute. Boys were really cute and wow how did he never notice how cute they were? Still sticky, though.

When he was 14 he met a boy named Edilio, and he was by far the cutest thing he'd ever seen. He was all muscles and dark hair and hazel eyes with long lashes and wow. just... wow. Apparently Edilio thought he was cute too, because pretty soon they were dating.

Dating as in living together with a kid dating.

Granted, they were living in someone else's houseboat with someone else's kid, but he figured it still counted. Dekka always said they were FAYZ married. During the days, he was usually busy with the kids, and Edillio was with Sam and Dekka working. But at night when Justin was asleep, they had the boat all to themselves. They probably wouldn't have made it if they hadn't.

When Gaia came and Justin died, everything just sort of started to blur. All he really remembered was trees and fire. Then, there were adults and next thing he knew he woke up in a hospital. Edilio was still there the whole time, even when he was covered in burns and on life support. Even when he only had one eyebrow.

He said he was still cute with one eyebrow.
