DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN PERCY JACKSON.

"Merry Christmas." A sullen voice whispered behind me. I flipped around and came face to face with Nico di Angelo, who was holding a tiny black box with a white ribbon on it.

"Hey Thalia." His bored expression still didn't leave his face.

"Hi Nico." I said brightly, maybe to raise his mood up slightly.

"Take it." He shoved the little box into my hands and walked away.

"That was rude." I thought, but Nico was Nico. He wasn't a huge fan of Christmas, especially when you're hanging out with Percy, who's idea of Christmas celebrating is skating, and that is a terrible thought for someone who doesn't know how to skate aka. Nico.

I observed the thing in my hands, raising my eyebrows often and frowning in confusion. I was wondering what in the world could fit in this tiny box. A necklace or ring? I shook it. Whatever it was, it sure wasn't small. It was a pretty heavy box, like an elephant was resting in it or something.

Curiosity got the better of me and I untied the ribbon and opened it. A spray of golden glitter popped in my face, making me drop the box in surprise to wipe glitter from my eyes.

"Gods, did Ke$ha just sneeze or something?" I coughed. Someone tapped me lightly on the shoulder. I knew it was di Angelo, probably here to laugh or something. Twisting around to meet face to face with the young boy, I glared.

"What was that for!" I yelled at him. The smirk carved on his face wouldn't leave. I was just dying to punch it back right into its place.

"For this." He mumbled. He leaned forward and kissed me on the cheek.

I just stood there, paralyzed. The sixteen year old boy with black hair, coal black eyes, a dark aviators jacket, dark jeans and shoes just kissed me. Even though it wasn't a real kiss, it sent sparks.

"See ya." He waved as he crunched the snow back to his cabin.

"Stupid, crazy Christmas." I mumbled, sending my eyes into slits as I trudged back to my cabin, though on the inside, I was really happy.

Though I still don't know why the box weighed so much.

Ah, whatever.

AN: Merry Christmas everyone! Merry Xmas everyone! Yes I know they are the same thing, but some people are atheists, like me, so I use the other version too. But I don't mind if people say "Merry Christmas" to me. I do too. Happy holidays!
