Break My Heart, I'll Fade Without You
I gave you my heart and soul,
But in the end, you threw it away,
You gave me your spirit,
But later on you took it back, and gave it to someone else.
You said the air shifted between you and her,
That things between us weren't the same anymore.
A part of me died that day,
I became bitter, relentless,
I hated you for leaving me,
I hated her for taking you from me,
I also still loved you though after everything.
The air soon shimmered,
And I found out why she has you,
I understood why you left,
And I hated myself for it.
I'm still waiting when the air will shift for me,
Everyone thinks it won't happen,
I think that sometimes too,
But I can't help but be hopeful.
If it happens,
Maybe I will love him as much as you love her,
My cousin Emily.
