Plotless, oneshot. I sat down and typed whatever came to my head. No pairing. Hope you enjoy.
"Miss Granger?" questioned a baritone voice from the shadows of the halls of Hogwarts.
"I've had enough! Leave me alone! Get the hell away from me, you bastard!" Hermione Granger croaked from her position on the floor. She was covered in blood and had numerous stab and slash wounds. She was holding her wand with a trembling hand and her eyes were wide with fright. In her other hand was a 6 inch blade; a blade covered in blood that was not her own. She kept trying to get up, but was slipping in the blood covering the floor.
"I won't hurt you. I want to help you. All you have to tell me is who attacked you." The voice said in a commanding, but soothing voice.
"Who are you to help me?!" Hermione demanded with a mirthless voice.
"A teacher who is worried about you! I can help! Stop being pig-headed! Give me the name! Let me heal your wounds!" the voice commanded again.
"Severus Snape? Help a friend of Harry Potter? Help a member of the Golden Trio? HA! I'm not a fool like you believe me to be! Leave me alone before I curse you!" Hermione threatened with a look of cold hatred and defeat.
"I'm not who you think I am! I can prove to you I'm on Albus Dumbledore's side…" Severus said before getting cut off.
"Don't mention his name! Traitor!" Hermione said with coldness perceptible through her few words.
"I am not a traitor!" Severus hissed back in retaliation.
"Prove it!" Hermione commanded.
"Come with me then!" Severus said taking a step towards her.
"Not so quick, Severus!" a higher-pitched voice said from down the hall.
"Yes, not so quick my slippery friend!" a male voice hissed from the opposite end of the hall.
"Alecto! Amycus!" Severus said in honest surprise.
"I see you found our play toy. She makes the most delightful screams when being tourtered. I hope you make even better screams while being carved!" Alecto said in pleasure.
"We've been trying to catch this girl since she left the protection of that moving room. Alecto only just caught her two hours ago. We would still be having our fun had she not stole one of the knives. She stabbed me," Amycus removed his hand from his abdomen where there was blood pouring out "And then the little bitch stole her wand and got away. Thank you so much for stopping her." Amycus said with a false delight.
"Cruc…" Alecto started before being cut off by a door appearing to the left of Severus. Members of the D.A. started to pour out firing of curses and hexes. Neville appeared and dragged Hermione off and into the room. Members started backing into the room as a shout of "AVADA CADAVRA!" rang throughout the hall and the man that was Severus Snape fell. He had jumped in front of Ginny Weasley and saved her life while sacrificing his own. The D.A. realized he was innocent as his breath left his body. Why else would he try to save a blood-traitor?
