The Duel

The two circled each other, ignoring the curious gazes and whispers.

"You're going down."

"How mature of you." Severus sneered.

Remus responded by throwing him towards the wall.

Severus let out a surprised yelp as he stopped inches away from the wall and got held upside down, by his left ankle.

He glared at Remus, as he heard laughter from the onlookers.

Remus seemed to be have trouble deciding what to do next.

Big mistake.

Severus concentrated, and pushed Remus backwards, yanked his hands upward, and lifted him about a foot above the ground

A small vial floated out of Severus's pocket and hovered in front of Remus's face.

Remus cocked his head at Severus, who was now smirking.

The vial spritzed him with the liquid.

"What is this stuff!?" Remus asked, trying to pull his head out of the way, only to find it held in place.

Severus than fell onto the ground in a heap. "Mental Restraint." He replied, standing up and sticking it into his pocket.

"Which is?"

"A mixture that practically prevents a being from concentrating."

"In short, you win?" Remus asked quizzically.

"In short," He smirked. "Almost."

A silvery liquid then glided into the room floating, twisting and swerving. A shocked look crossed Remus's face, before turning into pure terror.

Dumbledore stood, to make them stop, but then after a few seconds, seated himself again, as if he had realized something.

Remus began to squirm as the liquid came closer to him, less than an inch away from him, and swirled around him.

When the liquid dove down under his robe, Remus's face flashed from recognition, to relief, to horror.

Remus shrieked and then burst out laughing.

"SE-HAHAHAH-SEV-HA-SA-HAHAHA-STA-STA-HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Severus couldn't help letting out a light chuckle as he saw the-guy-that-he-should-hate turn bright red in the face, and laugh like a maniac.

He looked ridiculous.

Maybe seeing Remus in this situation made up for almost killy him.

Maybe.
