A/N: Everybody's writing poems about Ock missing Rosie, so I wanted to do something different. It sort of goes back and forth from Otto and Ock. Here it is, only took five minutes, hope you like it. Please R&R.

The Manipulation

I wished to make the world a better place,

The power of the sun for all,

But something went wrong; Peter was right,

I must have miscalculated, made a mistake in the past.

Now these... things, they're stuck with me.

I'll never be rid of them,

But why not? They somehow comfort me...

They're all I have now.

But these things attached to my back,

Why, they spoke to me, in my head, yes! That's right!

I couldn't have miscalculated; after all, it was working, right?

I must bring it back to life again; prove them all to be wrong!

But I'll need money, a place to stay,

I'll need food and warmth; people don't just give that away!

Steal it? No, I couldn't possibly!

I'm no criminal!

What's that? Yes, that's right...

That isn't the real crime...

What? Ah, yes, the real crime...

Would be not finishing what we started.

We'll rebuild it, yes!

Make it bigger, better!

Nothing will stop us!
