Pirates are the Rulebreakers

On the weekends, the participants of Super Smash Brothers Brawl tend to gather inside the game room and crowd around a red sofa. They fight for the control of the Wii more than the PS3 or the XBOX360, mainly because the girls despise the number of zombie games (and games that had mentions of activities) the Hands invest in. It's also because M rated games are meant for mature people, and despite Ness's claims of being completely mature, Zelda refuses to listen to him.

Anyways.

The Hands have only three games for the Wii, funnily enough. Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl, a fan-made game developed by the Hands' sponsors were all the games they owned. Obviously, the Smashers prefer to play the fan-made game, if only to make fun of it.

The normal weekend consists of loud laughter and raucous cheering. Today's no different, except in the fact that Wario (who finally thought of using a gas-related attack to win the controller) does the unacceptable and breaks the unspoken rule: choosing a character other than oneself.

"'A pirate only ever votes for himself' applies to this circumstance," beeps R.O.B, "in this case, the wording would be, 'the character must play the character'."

Wario flips them off easily and laughs, "This is called roleplay!" He nudges Link, whose character he had chosen, and he chuckles at the horrified aura the elf is emitting. "Imagine!" he says in an excited fashion, "I could make Link suicide and have him gain the most deaths!

"My reputation," whimpers Link, sinking into the side of the sofa. "My good record of having the least deaths is ruined!"

"Or I could make Link straddle…a smart bomb!" says Wario gleefully.

An hour later, Wario is shrieking with laughter, because he has paused the game at a part where Link (the game Link) was sprawled on the ground of Final Destination—with Zelda (Diddy's choice of character) also lying on the floor, in-between his legs. "Ha! This is proof!" proclaims Fox.

"No need to be embarrassed, Link," says Pit comfortingly. "Just make sure Wario doesn't take a picture—"

"He did."

"You can be embarrassed now, then."

Author's Notes: Tell me you've done this before. Just paused the game at that exact moment to see your character in some compromising position. That's what Ava and I used to do.
