It was a dark morning, the sun still had not risen, "Jamie, is it all?", asked Tommy and Jamie nodded,
holding the carrier, which had a sleeping baby Steven in it, and Tommy said "Perfect" loading the last cases in
the trunk of his van and closing it, and the moving van was behind them. Then all got into the van, Jamie and
Steven until the back part of the vehicle, Kara and Danny in the middle part of the van and Tommy was the
driver. They were moving away from Haddonfield, it was just two weeks since Jamie was rescued by Yugi. They
decided to move away for forgetting many things and start it all over again, for example forgetting Michael
Myers´s memories, Jamie could also forget the six years she was the captive of Thorn and give her newborn
son an opportunity for having a nice childhood and a good place where he could grow up safely, and Kara´s
goal, besides forgetting the night when the Cult of the Thorn attacked them, and forget how her father
mistreated her and her son Danny, and have a fresh start for both. "Well, good bye Haddonfield" said Tommy
and turned on the van.
The trip was nice, it was calm, silent, Danny was playing with his toys, Kara was reading, and Jamie
stroking her sleeping baby´s head. It was a silence, a silence which meaning was peace. The silence was
interrupted when Steven began crying, Jamie picked up him from the carrier, and when her son was lying in
her arms she began swinging them softly, from one side to another at the same time she said with tenderness
"Don't cry Stevie, don't cry sweetie, don't cry", and continued to swing him in her arms until he stopped crying,
"Very good Stevie" said Jamie smiling and kissed him on the forehead and breastfed him, and then she placed
him again on the carrier and gave him some baby toys and a pacifier.
They made some stops, for eating, going to the restroom and changing Steven´s diapers. With all those
stops, even though the town was near, when finally they arrived to the new town, and when they finally found
a house it was already late afternoon. Tommy parked his van and said "Welcome to our new home". They
placed their furniture in their house, and then they distributed the four bedrooms, one was for Tommy, another
for Kara, another for Danny, and the last and biggest was for Jamie and Steven.
They were all tired because of the moving, and after accommodating the furniture, and after Jamie bathed
Steven and put on him his pajama, and put on her pajama too they had dinner. In the dinner they had a nice
time, talking, laughing, etc. "Well, I have to go, I am tired, and I think Steven too", said Jamie, standing up
from her chair, with her son in arms. She went to her room and placed the baby in his crib, and went to her
bed, but to her surprise, he began crying, she picked up him from his crib, "Sleep sweetie, sleep, don't cry" she
said, swinging softly her son in her arms "Sleep Stevie", and then she began singing to her baby:
"Hush little baby, don't say a word, the bogeyman will never come
Hush little baby, don't say a word, mommy is here protecting you "
After hearing his mother singing, Steven stopped his crying and closed his eyes, "Sweet dreams Stevie", said
Jamie, kissing him on the cheek and placing him on his crib.
