"That was a brilliant battle." The young Demacian mage waved cheerfully at her teammates, Ezreal and Nidalee as they exited the fields of justice and headed into the League's private showers. Lux however stayed behind. There was someone she wanted to see. During laning she had felt that something was off, the enemy kept stopping to look at her, and twice he had failed a flash because his gaze was in her direction, rather than the wall. Lux couldn't help but feel that there was something wrong with Malzahar today. Usually facing the void prophet in lane meant that she was the one failing her flashes, unable to take her eyes off him. But today…

As the blond walked back into the fields, she was disappointed to find her lane empty. Sighing she turned and began walking back. The deserted lane was a symbol of her love life, empty and dry. What was the point? She was probably just seeing things, or Malzahar was probably just off today, maybe he was sick or something.

"Lost something dear?" A sultry voice behind her caused Lux to turn around midstep. Sarah Fortune stood there, her guns blazing with smoke. "You know honey, we're not allowed back on the fields after a battle."

"Oh..uh..s-s-sorry." Lux felt timid in the presence of the much older and experienced woman. "I um, was just heading out."

Miss Fortune rolled her eyes. "You're looking for him aren't you?" The sea captain spun her guns and began walking to the blond. "To be honest, at first we thought his summoner was just having difficulty or something. But then, we noticed where his gaze kept wandering to…and no, it was not Nidalee's chest."

Lux turned bright red. "What? I'm not looking for for for Malzhar! What, why would, I'm not-"She stuttered and froze in place. Was it that obvious, her mildly obsessive crush on the void prophet? So she hadn't been dreaming. Malzahar had really been looking at her. The thought filled the young mage with hope. Maybe there was something between them after all.

"Look hun," MF closed the gap between the two. "I don't know what's going on between you two, but it's kind of cute." She giggled. "I remember when I was just a young lass, with my first ship. Oh, let me tell you girl, my first love story was like a fantasy. What was his name again? Oh yes, Van, Von or something. Anyway," The redhead flipped her hair back. "Long story short, you're not going to achieve anything if you don't make the first move. Meet up with him later, ask him out for coffee, and then, you know, maybe…" The winked and jiggled her cleavage around.

By now Lux was pale. Sarah was so upfront; it was like the sea captain had unwrapped her entire life in 3 to 4 sentences, not to mention the thought of having sex with Malzahar was far more than she ever would have wanted. "I-I don't know what you're talking about." She looked frantically left and right. "I'm sorry but uh, I have to go. Need…uh haircut. Ezreal nailwork, Draven worship time."

With that Lux quickly turned and ran, cursing at herself for her failed excuses. Hearing Miss Fortune's famous laugh behind her, she thought to herself, Oh god, what have I done? Indeed, what was she going to do? So many feelings went through her brain. Malzahar, love, romance. Why was the life of a teenage girl so hard?
