A/N: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, but I'm sure mostly ladies, to the very first look at Not Like The Rest, the sequel to Written In The Stars. Enjoy this short little introduction into the story. The rest of the story is going to take awhile to post, because I'm going to write most of the story first, but since I got so many excellent reviews on Written In The Stars, here's a sneak peek.

June 22nd

Victoria Quinn Gauvreau eyed her Potions homework disdainfully. Homework in the summer was the most horrible, least fun, most agonizing experience, but all the Hogwarts professors loved to assign it. She sighed, blowing her bangs out of her eyes, and tied up her hair in a bun before picking up her quill and getting to work. She had only written down her name when Roxanne and Dominique bounced into her room.

"Hey Victorrriaa!" Roxanne sang.

"Hey whaat?" Victoria answered.

"You know what tomorrow is right?"

"Thursday?" Victoria raised an eyebrow.

"No stupid." Dominique got straight to the point. "Tomorrow is the first day the festival is open in Ottery St. Catchpole AND it's the day we're officially left alone for the summer!"

"Oh, right." Victoria said with decided lack of enthusiasm.

"Come on Toria, at least fake a little excitement." A familiar voice spoke from behind them.

All three girls spoke at the same time. "FALLON! You're here!" They all scrambled off of the various couches and chairs and smothered her in a group hug.

Fallon struggled, her newly-dyed chocolate-y brown hair whipping them in the face. "I don't do mass group attack-hugs!" She sputtered when they released her.

Dominique smiled cheekily. "You do now!"

Fallon rolled her eyes. "Please, explain why you aren't excited Victoria?" She demanded, flopping down in her favourite reclining chair at their summer lake house.

"It's not that I'm not excited, it's just that... you know... James." She whispered, going bright pink.

The girls made cooing sounds. Fallon was the first to become serious.

"Please, you guys are totally crazy about each other, and the second you see him again you're going to remember exactly what infuriates you about him, which also happens to be why you like him." She announced. "And you'll live happily ever after with seven children and a pet duck named Nolan." She added, grinning brightly.

"I am not having seven children. And Nolan? I think he's more of a Samuel." Victoria mused.

"Oh no, he's definitely a Nolan." Roxanne confirmed.

The girls laughed and Victoria stretched. "Alright, I'll abandon my homework for now. When do the guys get here?"

"Right now." A familiar, lighthearted voice spoke. Fred.

The girls turned to face them. Louis, Fred, Lorcan, Lysander, and him. Victoria suddenly felt shy as she stared back at James Sirius Potter for the first time in three weeks, four days, seventeen hours and thirty-two minutes. Not that she was counting.
