This is just a short thing that I wrote in math class, hope you like it
There it was, in the middle of the table, taunting him with its crescent shape. It was a yellow smile glaring up at him and daring him to copy its shape. He felt the corners of his mouth try to follow the upward curve it presented and forced them back down. What reason did he have for smiling? His mother was sick, his father didn't want him, and his grandmother claimed he didn't exist. The little boy felt tears prickling his eyes and when they blurred up all he could see was that yellow half circle. The tears were coming harder and he couldn't see anymore but still that yellow crescent was burned into his mind. He heard footsteps and knew his mother was coming, he had to stop crying for it made her sad and he couldn't bear to cause her pain. She was coming closer, her footsteps were right outside the door and he panicked, his face copied the yellow crescent right as she passed through the door.
"Are you alright Tamaki?" his mother asked.
"Yes mother," replied the little boy with his new brilliant smile, "I was just looking at this banana."
