"It's Not Right!" Shrieked Petunia at her younger sister, as Lily held a flower in her palm, and opened and closed its petals "...How'd You Do It?" Petunia added with a bit of longing lingering in her voice. "I Don't Quite Know, But---" "But Isn't It Obvious?" Came a voice, in the distance. Petunia and Lily swung around, searching for the keeper of the mysterious voice...He came into view, and appeard from behind a bush..."Your that Snape boy, aren't you?" Petunia Crowed, Rudely. "The one from down the street?" "Yes," he answered. Lily looked back and forth from Petunia to Severus. He was oddly dressed, in a smock like shirt and pants much to large for his scrawny frame. "Lily, don't you know? You"re... you're a witch." Lily looked offended "That's not very kind to say!" Lily looked into his eyes, he looked frightened and shocked. "No, I dont mean it like that! What... What I'm trying to say is, you're special."

Lily waited at Kings Cross Station with her Mum, Dad, and sister. Across the distance she spotted her good friend Severus. Petunia broke her thoughts by shreaking, "If you go there you know you will be freak. Right?" "No, I won't! I will be the same as I am, just better than you.", said Lily "FREAK", Petunia hollered. Lily ignored her with tears in her eyes as she prepared to bord the approching train. "Don't listen to her, she's just jealous." said Severus. "But I have to listen to her she's my sister. What she says matters to me. What if I am a freak?" "You're not a freak! You're a witch!" They entered the train. Their conversation interupted as three foolish boys approched them. "What are you wearing? Your grandmums' nighty?!" said the boy in the middle, with jet back hair. The other boys laughed heartily. "Lets go Severus! We shouldnt interact with such knuckleheaded boys." said Lily.
