Chaotic Rain
By: Lunar Flower Kunoichi

It was raining again; the streets of Edge were flooding over somewhat from all the water. The droplets panging against the glass of Seventh Heaven again that night, Vincent sat in the very corner away from the others. The only reason the crimson-eyed man was even there was because of all the rain. He was beginning to get a little sick of it by now.
He wondered if it was there just for that purpose, to irritate him to the ends of Gaia and back again the long way around. Chaos seemed to find it the perfect time to speak to him as well, irritating him further. He couldn't seem to get the demon to be quiet, even for a few seconds.
Tifa's dish washing filled the silence within on the bottom floor as Cloud walked down the flight of steps, his boots thudding heavily against the wooden flooring. Yuffie following soon after, skipping around here and there, talking animatedly to Cloud and Tifa and playing a spirited game of tag with Marlene and Denzel in the process.
Vincent couldn't figure out how the Wutaian could be so hyperactive and joyful almost all of the time; it drained him just watching her run around with the two children, ignoring the warning from Tifa to slow down.
Cloud silently seated himself beside the caped man, leaning forward onto the table on his elbows with his face in his hands. Probably wishing it was silent so he could muse on whatever it was Cloud muses on.
Vincent silently wished for the same and it seemed that was one thing to go along in his favor. Tifa soon sent Marlene and Denzel to bed, leaving a yawning Yuffie who soon followed up stairs to the guest bedroom she was using in her stay there. That left just Cloud and Tifa.
Tifa soon finished the dishes, the clanking sound missing from the background filling the closed bar with an uncanny silence, the rain drops only breaking it. "Good night, you two." Tifa calls, heading up the flight of stairs.
Cloud nodded his head once to Tifa, though she didn't see it, and Vincent didn't move, only kept his gaze on the blonde beside him. Chaos was taunting him within his mind, about Cloud Strife, now. '… Sitting there… Vulnerable.' it cooed within his mind.
With a sigh, Vincent attempted to quell the beast into submission, make it shut up for at least an hour or so. However, it wouldn't take such actions. 'You know you want him. So go on…'
With a scoff that made the blonde look up and over at the black-haired man in the dimly lit bar Vincent looked away to avoid the feelings rising up within him. He hadn't felt that way to anyone but Lucrecia, and he still loved her after all these years…. Right?
'So you think. But you're only fooling yourself!' it cackled within his mind again.
With a growl that made Cloud turn around fully to give a questioning look to Vincent, the caped man lunged forward, grabbing the sides of the blonde's head and pulling him forward into a rough kiss.
It was awkward at first, neither knowing what to do or processing their thoughts properly at the moment, until Cloud leaned in forward, wrapping his arms around the older man's neck pulling himself closer to Vincent swiftly. Vincent's clawed hand went to the back of Cloud's head to keep him from moving – not that Cloud had any notion of doing so.
Their tongues clashed together in a battle of dominance for what seemed like minutes until – "Aaaaaah! I'm tellin' Tifaaa!" the voice of Yuffie sounds out as both men break apart to look wide-eyed at the Wutaian who had a devious grin on her face.
