Thunderstorm

It was dark outside. Really dark since I dimmed my lamp on the nightstands. I looked outside through my wide window. I deliberately opened the curtain to see it was raining heavily at the moment. There was a thunderstorm. Raindrops were pouring like waterfall from the sky. They hit my window rapidly and made a tick-tick sound like a metronome set in a very fast tempo. Never any of my member could play the grand piano in the living room with that tempo ever. But I wonder if it might be combined with a slow song that was being composed by Jaejoong right now. Must be a good harmony, especially with the clapping from thunder that interfere now and then. Could it be a love song? Sad song?

Unfortunately Jaejoong didn't like thunder. The cracking sound scared him to death. Well, I liked thunder. For me the roaring sound seemed to show its prowess in the dark night sky, cracking the sky with the blue sometimes white light that branching from the ground and reaching to the sky. So breathtaking.

Knock…knock…knock…! "Yunho-ah…."

I heard Jaejoong's voice after the knocking on my bedroom door. I smiled. "Here he comes, my beautiful namja member." I thought of it while walking to the door to open it. I saw Jaejoong stood in front of me with a blanket covering up his head and body.

"Waeyo, Jaejoong?" I asked him although I already knew why he came to me tonight.

"Can I stay with you for tonight?" he asked with shaky voice. "it's too scary to stay in my room alone with those jarring sound."

"Come." I held his hand and led him to the bed.

Suddenly a bright light was striking and flashing my room, then a big bang followed instantly. Jaejoong jumped to me and grabbed my shirt. I turned around and held him in the shoulder.

"It's alright. I'm here" I tried to calm him down. I sat with him on the bed with our backs resting on the headboard.

"You don't think I'm childish, do you? I cant help it Yunnie…" he said with timid voice.

"Don't worry." I assured him. "I also have something I don't like. Remember? I feel grossed when I see home lizard? Hehehe." I joked to get him relaxed. Finally I saw a tiny smile on his quivering lips.

Bang…! Another sound blaring from outside. Jaejoong jolted, held me and hid his face behind my back.

"Jaejoong, lay down here and try to sleep. I'll be here beside you." I drag him down gently under my blanket. I rubbed his back and began to hum a lullaby. His head rested on my shoulder.

Bang…! This time was much louder than before. I held Jaejoong to comfort him. He curled still. But then I heard another shriek from outside my bedroom. Dolphin shriek! "Hyung… can I stay with you tonight?" Junsu's voice pleaded me to enter my room.

"Come here, Junsu" I allowed him to go inside. "The door is unlocked"

"Suu-ie…." Yoochun's sleepy voice trailing after Junsu. "I will accompany you, too. Don't be afraid". Now is coming Yoochun still hugging his pillow. He then lying down beside Junsu while Junsu lying and hugging Jaejoong's back under my blanket.

"Ya! Why I left behind!" a tenor voice belonged to Changmin shrilling through my door.

"Oh, dear…" I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Minnie… get on here and close the door." I patted a spot on the bed. He lounged his tall body beside me and wrapped his long arms around my body.

After a while, it was a silence. Rain abated. Only small drops were still knocking my window tenderly. Blaring thunder heard from afar. Soft snores came from Junsu and Yoochun. I felt peaceful with Jaejoong's and Changmin's arms surrounding me.

"My precious family" I smiled when drifting out to a deep slumber together with them. Warmth enveloped the room and all the members who jostling up on my king sized bed.
