Ino sighed as she walked down the deserted street. She had just come from training. They had to stop early since it started raining.
She looked up at the dark clouds that were pouring the giant sheets of rain that were pounding against her head. She shivered gently.
Shikamaru-kun… she thought sadly. he wouldn't love her. He couldn't. He had Temari… who was so much stronger, prettier, smarter, and luckier than her. She had him. Yet… she just couldn't let go of the lazy ninja from her heart.
The tears dripped from her eyes as she walked to the park. Why? Why cant she let go? She tried so hard… was she in love? No… she couldn't love someone who had someone. She sighed… she needed to stop loving him. she pushed her bangs behind her ear sat down under a tree.
She stared out at the rain and cried. It was too much! She would never be able to let go! She brought her knees up to her chest and sobbed.
Her heart was bleeding and scarred. Her hard exterior cracked. Images of Temari and Shikamaru filled her head and heart.
She looked up at the sky between the leaves of the tree. "Why cant I just forget?"
