Dinner Parties

Val and Tyler were having a dinner party at their house tonight. Another one.
Why oh why did they always
have to invite Caitie? How did they do it in the first place? They were only 23!
Sure, she was Val's best
friend. She loved her and she would always be there for here. But HONESTLY
Caitie didn't know how
many more boring people she would meet until she snapped. Jamie said at least
they were making
connections. Yeah, Jamie WOULD say that. Always the optimist.

At least Jamie would be by her side. He knew he couldn't leave or she'd slug him
on the spot. They always
ended up going to these parties together. Even though they had their various
boyfriends and girlfriends,
they never got even serious enough to introduce them to their friends, apart
from each other. Jamie and Caitie were never seen far apart.

So today what would she wear? Well, there was her black dress or her black
dress. She chose the black dress. WHY did she have to go tonight? This was gonna
be torture. She could have been working on real business. She and Jamie had
started their own catering business after they got out of highschool.

And Val never let Caitie cook for her stupid parties! Caitie and Jamie always
went to her parties somebody else always cooked. Val said she didn't want them
to feel like hired help. But they absolutely loved to cook. It was so amazingly
fun cooking together. That's why they had started the business, when Jamie had
found out about Caitie's closet cooking. She had given him cooking lessons so he
could impress his new girlfriend, but he broke up with her before he could show
off his new talent. They realized how much fun they had doing this together, and
decided to make money out of it. Neither one of them could ever do it on their
own, and that made it even better because they both knew it was a once in a
lifetime opportunity, and one that they couldn't afford to miss.

Val was going nuts. She had been running around all day. Her first year of
medical school was only halfway through. She thought Caitie lucky because she
didn't have to go to school; she just started up her dream business without any
problems. Unlike her, Val had to go to school and keep up with all her friends
and entertain people to network. Luckily, since both she and her husband Tyler
were in med school, their parents had all helped them out, money-wise. Tyler was
civil to his stepdad, William, now and Val's parents had two more children,
twins. Their names were Ramona and Lucas, twins. And between babysitting them
and everything else Val and Tyler had to do, they were tied up. At least her
baby brother and sister convinced Val and Tyler that they would wait with having
kids for awhile. Well, at least the caterer would get here soon and one less
aspect of tonight would be off Val's back

Oh, dear. That was pretty bad, I know. It started out at ok and just went
downhill. Sorry to put you through that, but I wanted to get it out there. I
will have another part out soon, maybe. Tell me if I should do it or not, K?
thank you! 3LUV3 The Pineapple Princess
