Dean was out of control as he lunged at his brother, unable to control the Mark. However Sam refused to fight back and told himself that some part of the man standing above him with the First Blade positioned above his heart was still the Dean he knew.
The younger man watched the sporadic murder whose only aspiration was blood and hoped that some sort of sense of reason could be appealed to.
"Stop, Dean! Please just listen to me!" Sam shouted, squeezing his eyes shut. After a moment of silence passed, he opened them and was pleased to see Dean waiting to hear him out. He still had some time.
"I know this isn't you," Sam started, "I'd do anything to tell my brother goodbye, to apologize for failing. You have been there for me since before I could remember, and all I do to repay you is let you go 'dark side.'" Sam scrunched up his face, trying to suppress the wave of emotions invoked by the phrase once told to him.
Sighing heavily, he continued, "Just… if there's any part of you that's still my big bro, I- I hope that you can forgive me one day." He closed his eyes and, feeling it was necessary in the face of death, he sent a quick prayer, even though he knew no one was listening,

Suddenly the screen went fuzzy and a faint ringing noise arose from the speakers and filled the room.
'What was going on? Did the satellite go down?' you wonder as you reach for the remote, but before you can grab it, the screen flickers, flashing the last pane on and off.
Between the flickers you notice something. 'Wait a second… was that looming shadow there before?' Another flicker and you could have sworn that Sam and Dean's faces were grotesquely deformed.
'No, no, no. You're letting your overactive imagination get to you,' you reassure yourself, 'This is just what you get for watching cable, silly. You can just find it online tomorrow– without the satellite giving you a hard time.'
As you reach for the remote again, you hear a loud click and the ringing noise cuts of, as well as the flashing. You look up, and see the screen entirely black except for a blood-red throne, entirely empty. Then it quickly cut to the same scene, but with Crowley leisurely strewn on the regal seat, who was staring directly at the camera. You found this to be puzzling, as the actors tended to avoid looking at the camera.
The demon leaned forward slightly and with a charming smirk said, "I'm so sorry darling." A faint barking was heard, just as static filled the screen. When it came back, the screen was zoomed in to Crowley's face as he spoke. "But your ten years are up."
Another bark was heard, louder this time, causing the screen to go to static again.
Then a deep voice –undoubtably Dean's– yelled out from the speakers.
"Sick 'em boy!"
The screen cut to black.
