Chapter 1: The Graduation & Secret Party
It was a warm sunny day in spring. The Guardians were having a meeting in the garden, but, Kukai wasn't there. " This is Kukai's last year in Seiyo Elementary School and I want to throw him a surprise goodbye party", Tadase said. " I think that is a great idea!", Everyone said with a big grin. " I'll take care of the cookies and drinks", said Yaya jumping up and down with excitement. ''I will bring the decorations'', said Amu. Even though Yaya seemed really excited about the party she was sad inside. After the meeting Yaya went home and cried on her pillow the whole night; thinking of Kukai.
The next day in school Yaya was looking for Kukai to ask him something important. She looked all over the place in classrooms, bathrooms, desks, chairs, trees, everywhere. Then she finally found him practicing soccer in the fields. "Kukai Kukai Kukai", yelled Yaya to get Kukai's attention. When Kukai turned around he saw Yaya. "Hi Yaya!" said Kukai. Yaya ran to him in excitement hugging him as she got to him. "Kukai why didn't you tell me you were leaving", said Yaya with a tear falling down her cheek. Kukai wiped her tears as it fell down her face. "Yaya im not going to really leave im just going to a different school, but ill always visit." said Kukai.
"Can I tell you something?" said Yaya.
"Sure" said Kukai as if he was confused.
"I will miss you forever and ever", said Yaya
"Me to, but as I said I will visit sometimes", Kukai said
After the conversation they went their ways. Yaya never got to say what she really meant to say. As she walked away the poor girl slapped herself as hard as she could.
The sun went down and the sky got dimmer. Everyone was quiet and sleeping in their beds except for one. Yaya was looking up into the ceiling trying to get her confidence to tell Kukai. The sun came up and the kids at Seiyo School were at the auditorium getting ready for the graduation. Before the graduation started the Guardians were all in the garden setting up the secret party for Kukai.
By the time they finished setting up the graduation was about to start. The Guardians were standing on the stage announcing the students who were graduating. "Kukai Souma" said Tadase with a big grin. Tadase gave Kukai his certificate and a big pat. When the ceremony finished all the Guardians with Kukai walked to the garden. Amu opened the door and they stepped inside the garden. Kukai was surprised and thankful. "We'll miss you Kukai" said everyone in the room. Each of the Guardians gave they're goodbye gifts to Kukai.
Amu came up first giving Kukai a picture frame of all the Guardians having fun. Then came up Tadase who gave him a box with something in it. Tadase said ,"Don't open it yet, open it when you get home." Nagihiko came next giving him a big hug and handed him a new soccer that had been signed by everyone. At last Yaya came next with tears and a sad face giving Kukai a big hug and never letting go. She handed him a picture with him and her at the fair.
Everyone started to cry at the end and they had a group hug. Kukai got home getting ready to open up Tadase's gift. With his eyes closed while opening the box and then he opened it and saw a huge piece of paper in a frame. The piece of paper were all signed by everyone.
