I am going to change the Red Vs Blue story a little bit. But as always, all characters and most of the story does not belong to me, they belong to Rooster Teeth. Now please enjoy ;).

Respect, Admiration, Care, Mistrust.

These are all of the emotions that come to Wash's mind when he thinks of Tex. She was blunt and sarcastic, and he loved that about her. And her strength, was unmatched, it was, super-human. But, she was also close with the director, and so, he couldn't trust her anymore. After the events of Project Freelancer had taken place, these feelings fluttered about his mind constantly. Wash supposed that it was really Epsilon's love for her, or Allison at least. It was bittersweet for him, on one hand, Wash had never really developed this care until Epsilon attempted to kill himself in Wash's brain. On the other, he still cared for her because of it. He cursed Epsilon for these feelings, he was the reason that Wash harbored them, he was the reason that he fell in love with a shadow, and he hated Epsilon for it.

So Wash had tried to shut Tex out of his mind ever since, but couldn't bring himself to forget her. He didn't have control over his feelings for her, so he might as well let them flourish. This especially started to affect him when they crashed their ship on Chorus and he was stuck with just the Reds and Blues. Sometimes when Tucker and Caboose were training, Wash would go back to his bunk and collapse on his bed and think about her. She had never really acknowledged him, but the few times he was with her, he cherished. Today was one of those days. After managing to get out of training Blue team by giving some lame excuse, he snuck back to his bunk. He toppled over onto his bed and recollected when she had pushed him into the ship as they were trying to get the sarcophagus. He wondered what would've happened if she hadn't done that. 'I probably would've fallen to my death if she hadn't done that.' He thought to himself.

At that moment though, the doorknob started to turn, and the door opened to Tucker. He walked into the bunk, as he was looking for Wash, but was kind of surprised to see him in there as Wash told him that he was going to check on the inventory on the ship.

"Oh. Wash, I was looking for you. Why are you in here?" Tucker said curiously.

"I uh, checked our food supply and then came back here because I was tired." Wash lied blatantly.

"Are you sure you're just tired?" Tucker probed.

"Well.. It's complicated."

"How so?"

"I just... I miss Tex. Or, I suppose, Epsilon misses Tex."

"Tex? Well I definitely don't miss the ass-kickings she used to give us, but yeah, me too." Wash was surprised that Tucker was so open to talking about Tex, as he too seemed to like her, but more because she was a woman, not because of everything else about her. That angered Wash, he knew how Tucker was, he didn't think that Tex should have to deal with that kind of thing. But he knew more than anyone that she was capable of taking care of herself. Another rush of feeling pulled at Wash's mind, but he shook it off. Tucker shuffled, rubbed at his neck and said to Wash, "I'm gonna go back to training with Caboose, but, don't come out until you're ready." Wash was taken off guard by the care that Tucker had all of a sudden shown. But at that moment, Wash was so tired that he let the thought roam into other areas of his brain. He hadn't gotten great sleep last night, another nightmare. So he started to drift off. But was all of a sudden shaken out of his sleepy-state by an explosion, and Tucker yelling at him to, "Get out here!" Wash grabbed his rifle and headed outside.

White Armor clad soldiers were firing at Tucker, and Caboose, but an unfamiliar grey and orange soldier lay behind the sand bags that they were taking cover behind. He was being patched up by Doc. Freckles was hooked up to a computer, his shields were charging due to an brawl much earlier with Dos Point Oh. Wash was just about to fire from his position when a familiar tune played and he immediately shrunk back behind a pillar. He breathed a sigh of relief and chuckled a little. The reds flew over a hill on their warthog and landed on top of the white soldiers.

"Suck it white!" Simmons yelled.

"Oh, shut the hell up Simmons, you didn't even do anything." Grif griped.

"Both of you shut up." Sarge grumbled.

Just as relief poured onto the soldiers, a sniper shot sounded in the air and flew right past Simmons' head. "Ah shit! Punch it Grif!" Wash watched as the red soldiers sped away, leaving them with whoever had tried to shoot Simmons. Wash thought on his feet and ran over to where Freckles' shield was being charged. He ripped the cord off of the computer and Freckles immediately sputtered to life.

"Freckles! Attack!" Wash shouted.

Freckles paused for a moment and then fired on the mountain straight across from them. A black and green armored soldier jumped down and then somehow disappeared.

"Camouflage." Wash gritted his teeth.

Freckles sparked and shut down out of the blue. Wash's next thought was to look for the soldier. Then, the reds came streaking in with a modified gun that fired rockets instead.

"Where's the dirtbag?!" Sarge snorted.

"I don't know! That's what I'm trying to figure out!" Wash sputtered. Wash then ran over to where Tucker and the others were.

"Holy shit what's going on?!" Tucker said hysterically.

"We're under attack!" Just then, an explosive attached to the reds car so they leapt out before it exploded and joined the others. They were all in a state of dismay. Before anyone could say anything, the black soldier and four other men appeared about fifteen feet away from them.

"What the?!" Wash sputtered.

"Stand down and drop your weapons." The black soldier said gruffly. All except Wash and Sarge dropped their weapons.

"If you think that I'm going to drop my shotgun, then you've got another thing coming son." Sarge threatened.

"Yeah, you better start talking or else. Otherwise, we're not going anywhere." Wash said pointing his pistol at the soldier's head.

"No, I don't have to do anything for you." The black soldier disappeared again, as well as his men. Wash heard a charging of some sort of gun and a blue light face towards him and braced himself. But before anything could hit him, a cloaked body flew past him and took the bullet instead of him. He could see it drop lifelessly to the ground. He was bewildered. Just as he thought that it was over, the gun was charged up again and this time the blue light was pointed towards Sarge. But the savior, managed to get up and rush to where Sarge was and take the bullet for him. Once again it dropped to the ground, and light groaning could be heard. Wash didn't know what to think . But he was hit in the back of the head and knocked out before he could do anything. The next thing he knew, Freckles was up and running, firing at the soldiers, the injured grey and orange soldier stood with Tucker in the mouth of a cave that must have led away from the canyon, and Sarge, Donut, and Lopez lay knocked out. Even though he didn't really know what was going on, he knew that he needed to get his men away from the canyon to survive. As he faded in and out of reality, he decided to do what was best for them and told Freckles to shake. Freckles stomped his heavily armored foot onto the ground, the impact making the cave collapse in on itself. Then, Wash passed out.

Whew! That took a little while! I will be trying to make another chapter sometime soon. Hope you enjoyed, bye!
