The mysterious disappearance of Ditto
Also known as why RSE protagonist arrived in a moving van. I can not ever recall that one being explained.
Ditto's name has been changed to Alex, as I decided, as a family Pokemon, April gave them a name

"Em, you haven't seen Alex, have you?"
Emerald, her child, looks coolly distant from the bed. Emerald really hadn't been happy about the move to Hoenn, and receiving the silent treatment for wakening her child up in the morning wasn't unusual.
"Maybe I packed them, already?" April asks herself, searching through her luggage. "Or maybe Senna borrowed them, without telling me..." April frowned. Senna wouldn't tell her, if she borrowed Alex, as their relationship could be rather strained at times. Problems of being half sisters the same age.
"I'll need to ask the neighbors to look for Alex. "April decides, marching out the door to do just that.
She is disappointed to find Emerald still in bed when she comes back.
"Alright, I've given you more than enough time to get ready. Your just going to have to live with being in your Pajamas for the trip. You knew perfectly well, we were leaving early to meet up with Norman."
She pulls Emerald along and out the door, into the loaded car, and drives to the ferry.
Back at the house, a window is propped open, and a teenager tumbles in.
"Mom!" A voice calls out, footsteps echoing in empty halls.
"Either my timing is badly off, or she's saying goodbye to the neighbors. But my decoy is gone. Which means..."
The window is propped open again, and Emerald drops out the window and checks the garage.
"Oh Shit!"
Mom might not have a reception, so Emerald calls the only person who might help. Senna. Senna's solution is unfortunately unconventional.
"You want me to what!"
"Hide among the remaining luggage. Your mother paid for it to be express shipped, and its not like its an inordinately long trip. Ill even call ahead to warn her."
"She will blame you." Emerald pointed out, reasonably.
"You are the one who was late. What were you even doing?"
"I didn't want to be woken up early to help load the car. I figured Mom would take more then enough time looking for Alex that I could sleep in. "
Senna didn't say anything for a full minute.
"That's absurd." She managed finally.
"I like my beauty sleep. Hey, why not just buy me a ticket?"
"Do I look like I'm made of money?"Senna asked rhetorically. " Besides you have plenty of time to get your beauty sleep this way. Best of luck on your trip."
April was terrified later when she could not find her child at the Hotel. Then, her phone rang, with a surprise call from Senna.
Emerald was very surprised later when the professor came for a chat inside the moving truck. Pleased that he had brought lunch. And offended when Birch left without even offering a lift.
I wish I didn't feel a need to ask this, but keep your reviews story related please.
