Interlude

Dark green curtains flew freely from their position in front on an open window. A warm breeze mixed with the moisture of a light rain coming from the outside. Syaoran woke to the light tapping of the raindrops against the roof of the penthouse. He laid in bed silently admiring the rhythm of the noise and the peace that the atmosphere brought him.
His steady amber gaze rested upon his ceiling for a few moments more before he sat up. After running his fingers through his ever windblown hair he walked into his spotless living room. It was dimly lit by the skylight in the middle of the room. He walked over to the sliding door leading to his balcony and opened in slowly. As he stepped out, he could smell the scent of the rain as a light breeze hit his face, blowing the stray bangs of his hair from his face.
With his elbows rested on the railing separating him from the ground many feet below, he turned his face toward the sky. Clouds were littered across it, creating a blanket of gray, with small cracks here and there letting in some light. Tiny drops of water fell of the balcony's roof. Syaoran looked back to the rest of the city. There were no cars out, no people running about. All calm as a light fog settled across Tomoeda with grace.
" I wonder what Sakura's doing right now." He said out loud, never taking his gaze of the sleeping city. It was early, and Syaoran knew she was probably asleep. But he couldn't help but wonder. The then turned his head toward the ground. A young girl was walking by. Her golden brown hair swayed softly with the beat of her steps as she marched slowly across the sidewalk. An umbrella settled on her shoulder preventing Syaoran from seeing her face.
He smiled.
A light pink aura surrounded the girl as she happily strolls along. He couldn't help but admire how innocent and sweet she was. Most people would ruin the perfect picture the town was this morning, but Syaoran knew, Sakura was far too beautiful for any such thing. She left a trail of joy and warmth wherever she went, no matter how dark the place, and she had done it to him as well. As she passed by his balcony she stopped, looked up at him, and smiled. She knew he was there the whole time. He smiled back. No words were spoken, all was said with their eyes.
A ring of raindrops formed around Sakura as they bounced of her umbrella, causing her to look more angelic then she had before. Syaoran didn't notice though, he was too lost in her perfect emerald eyes that nothing else really mattered right then. Syaoran looked so handsome with no shirt on and his hair dripping with rain. But his wonderful smile is what caught Sakura's attention. Her gaze soon moved upward and stopped at his eyes. The eyes that have shown her determination, concern, and most recently, love. For a moment time stood still, and they were the only two people who existed.

Hope you guys liked that!! Chapter two has MUCH more talking, I promise! R+R, like I said. I know it was short, but the next will be longer with more 'action' compared to this chapter!!
