Yep, my first fanfiction on this account! ^^ So have some Solangelo. Both Will and Nico are 15 in this fanfic. This will stay as a oneshot but perhaps I'll write you some more if ya want. Feel free to favourite, review and give more ideas! (I know that this oneshot pretty much sucks but what can you say to a good idea popping to your mind in the middle of the night?) And yes, it's short. Sorry about that.
Disclaimer: My name is Noctis, isn't it? I'm no Rick Riordan. Yes, the world is cruel.
Giant war was over and all of the seven were alive and well. The camps were at peace, with active exchange programs every month. It should have been all sunshine and rainbows, eh?
But for Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, it wasn't.
Pretty much everyone in Camp Half-Blood avoided him like plague, with the exceptions of Percy Jackson and Will Solace. Percy, however, was now studying outside camp in Goode High School with Annabeth and visited camp only on weekends. Will was busy at healing campers that got injured pretty much every day, but when he had free time, he spent it with Nico, ignoring all weird stares. Will, more than anyone, understood why Nico felt the need of getting away, like he didn't belong.
Nico had started trusting Will, slowly, but still. The son of Apollo had been pretty much delighted. He liked Nico around, even if the others didn't.
When Will had seen Nico for the first time, he had been taken aback. Nico was the opposite of Will in pretty much every way. While Will was blonde, Nico had naturally dark hair. Will was tanned and Nico was almost deathly pale. Son of Apollo was all sunshine and rainbows while Nico was Goth and maybe a bit of an emo. Even though his siblings thought Nico as bit creepy, Will was naturally drawn to him. He wanted to be friends. It took three long months but now Nico no longer shadow-travelled away at the first sight of Will. Just the sight of the gothic boy got so many thoughts to Will's mind.
And it took one month more for Will to realise that he didn't think Nico as a friend. He had a crush, for the first time in his life. Will had never really thought that he would be gay but it seemed logical now. He never really had feelings for girls in the first place. But he had never really thought of boys in that way either. His thoughts were a mess. He couldn't sleep, he just lied there, awake. His mother or demigod siblings never really said anything about gays but he still threaded telling them.
Perhaps Nico wasn't the kindest person, or the friendliest either. But he had learned to read people and he could clearly see that Will was bothered by something. And he wanted to know what it was. Will had helped him, perhaps he could pay the favour now. Or perhaps it was a thing that friends did. Nico never really had a friend before Will expect for Percy.
That day, they were walking at the forest of Camp Half-Blood. If you didn't see it week before, now you could clearly see the dark rings under his eyes. Even his hair was a big mess.
"Something is bothering you." Nico said softly, making a slight blush rise to the other boy's cheeks. Luckily, Nico didn't notice.
"Y-yeah…" Will whispered.
"What is it?" Now Nico was worried. Will was supposed to be happy, a bright ray of sunshine.
Will was going to panic soon. He had no idea what to say. Should he just say it, the "ugly" truth or just lie?
"It's nothing… No need to worry…" Will said and started walking a bit faster. Then he felt Nico crab his hand. The thought made him blush but again, it wasn't noticeable in the dark forest.
"Yes, I don't need to worry. But perhaps I want to, perhaps I care?" Nico said stubbornly. "Just say it."
"I like boys. I'm stressed because of it. Happy now?" Will said, the last sentence a bit angrily. Nico let go of his arm and chuckled.
"That's it?" he said softly. "Because I know the feeling."
Will didn't get it at first. He was shocked, his face was quite red and the only intelligent thing he could manage was:
"What?"
Nico was good at reading people, perhaps even too good. Now he understood the situation perfectly. Will's stress, reaction and even the blush. But he couldn't believe it. Could it be that his crush liked him back?
"You like me, don't you?" Nico whispered.
The look in Will's face pretty much told it all. Will was about to start rambling but he was silenced. Nico had kissed him on lips, shortly, but still.
"You… like me too?" Will said quietly.
"Of course, sunshine."
Will pulled Nico closer and kissed him, his boyfriend. He was happier than ever.
