Beep beep beeeeeeeeep….

Keitaru laid his forehead against the back of the hand he was holding. The nurses and doctors around him quietly left the room. Sobbing uncontrollably he looked up at the face of the woman in the bed before him. Her eyes shut softly as if just merely sleeping. Her strawberry pink hair framing her face perfectly.

'What am I supposed to do now Samui?' he thought sadly refusing to let go of his fiancé's hand. "I don't know if I can keep my promise." He attempted to brush the tears from his eyes. This was the promised girl. The one he'd get into Tokyo-U with. They succeeded but the victory was short lived as she was diagnosed with cancer.

Relinquishing his grip on her hand his ex-fiancé for the last time before walking out the door.

Shutting the door he stopped when a hand gently grabbed his shoulder from behind "Kei-kun, what are you doing?"

He turned around to a beautiful strawberry pink haired woman he has known for years. His fiancé or now ex-fiancé dressed in her favorite dark brown pants and a blue long sleeve shirt.

She giggled at the shocked look on his face covering her mouth with her hand. "You look like you've seen a ghost Kei-kun." She smiled sweetly.

"This can't be real!" He repeated to himself pushing away from the woman in front of him.

'This is all in my head.'He closed his eyes and counted down from 10 hoping once he opened his eyes again this hallucination would be gone.

"10, 9, 8, 7,"

"That isn't going to do anything Kei-kun." She attempted to interrupt but he kept counting.

"6, 5, 4, 3,"

"You promised Kei-kun." She whispered gently.

He responded immediately to that. "I know I promised you, but I don't think I can do it." He slowly opened his eyes. Tears slowly dripping down his cheeks.

"That's why I'm here Kei-kun. I'm here to help you fulfill your promise."
