Dean hated crying people. Or More specifically, he it when people cried. At the sight of waterworks, he never knew what to say. He was always his fault anyway. Which is why he felt the knife twisting sensation in his gut. It never failed when it came to Sam and so it shouldn't have been surprise when he and Sam found Cas wandering in the road. When Dean pulled over to get to him. Cas tried to speak, but crumpled down with bright eyes. He fell into Dean's arms, shaking. It took him a moment to realize that Cas was crying. Unable to stop clutching onto Dean but it was only when he started to sob that Dean wanted to lie. 'It's all right, it'll all be ok. So pleaseā¦' He whispered nonsense as he stared up at the burning sky.
